Monsters of Innuria and Beyond:
Emerald Forest Spiders: native only to the Elven forests in the south of the peninsula, these nearly mythic creatures spend their entire lives in the dense treetops, descending only to use their strange hallucinogenic venom to trick the unwary into their webs. Their venom is highly sought after for use by alchemists and healers and is worth eight times its weight in gold
Cliff Unicorns: these majestic animals populate the cliffs on the coastline inhabited by the storm giants. These animals have more in common with bighorn sheep than horses but are said to be able to climb any surface no matter how sheer.
Strangling Man: a legendary figure said to haunt the road between Edysse and Bastion, the Strangling Man finds lonely travelers. The victims found have been subjected to unimaginable tortures.
Lightning Wyrm: a cat sized reptile that flies around, hunting small animals with a powerful electric shock. Critically endangered due to the illegal pet trade. Most often found in the southern coast of Vittoria.
Lizardfolk: a race of sentient reptiles who lives in the Great Morass. Hunted near to extinction by the Death Knight.
Lesser Thessalian Dragon: fewer than a dozen of the mighty dragons that once ruled swathes of Thessali remain. Lesser Thessalian Dragons are, despite their name, up to sixty feet long and have been worshipped for their magical powers since the dawn of history. Their colors range from black to white to every color visible to the human eye.
Greater Thessalian Dragon: The lords of their kind, the Greater Dragons of Thessali fought and slew dozens of Mistlords when the wars were young. The last sighting of a Greater Dragon was centuries ago and they are believed extinct or fled to lands far beyond human’s touch.
Maggie Mudpie: this strangely named entity is a witch who is said to grant wishes to desperate folk in exchange for a service which must be performed. She got her name from her habit of wandering riparian areas and the Great Morass
Lesser Phase Serpents: astral plane dwelling snakes. They have multiple fangs and teeth and shift into our world to strike. Their venom weakens it’s prey and they are quite patient. Popular creatures for wizards to conjure
Asanaran hydras: eight to twelve headed monstrosities; these rapid healing serpent creatures are horrifying for adventurers to come across. Unless, of course, you’re a beastmaster.
Swamp Chimeras: two headed flying beasts that spit venom. They’re really great
