Zavier nodded. “That makes sense. Do you need me to pass a message to the captain? Be safe!”
//
Demeter looked back at the rock and the departing adventurers. “Don’t do anything too crazy Miss Vedas. I don’t want the Queen if Lisandre adding me to her little black book.”

"Just let her know there might be trouble. Doubt it would be anything to actually worry about, but can't hurt to keep an eye out."

Zavier nodded. “I’ll relay it,” he promised. “Don’t go without me!” He slid down the plank and scooted off to the Odyssey.

Ceutinde grabbed a half-dozen sailors and headed for the east dock. As they left she, gave Zavier a shout to let him know they were off.
Once arrived, she waited to meet the famous Lamas in person.

As she approached the docks she saw three ships near each other, all red painted and with dark sails. A few armed men stand about and Ceutinde sees three...rocking chairs facing the island as a boat speeds toward the distant beaches. Her friends were clearly visible on it. Two of the chairs have people sitting in them and the leftmost one stops its slow rocking and a man stands up. He’s dressed in white pants and a pink shirt and has a pistol strapped to his belt. He takes his leather cap off as she approached and made a fancy bow. “Welcome to Asanar!” He said. “I’m Lamas my dear, the Pink Plunderer! And how shall I address a woman of taste such as yourself?”

She approached, but stayed a few arms' reaches away, and curtsied in response with a false smile on her face. "Simply Ceutinde will do, though there are those who call me the Widow. How much?"

Lamas waves her to the rocking chair and she sees the back of a woman’s head in the center one. “How much?” He chuckled. “Right to business hm? Like you said, it’s best to see if we can trust potential business partners. You all sail here with some giant warship and First thing I hear is that you want to buy Priscilla’s. Seems a long way to come for a brothel investing opportunity.”

Ceutinde walked forward when he indicated, but only leaned on the back of the empty chair. "Just happened to be passing through and thought to take a look at my...competition in Asanar. And call me a perfectionist, but some improvements could be made, to profit everyone involved."

“One thousand gold,” he said flatly. “That can buy you in halfway. And no one just passes through here. People come here to disappear, Miss Ceutinde. Asanar is it’s own little monster that gobbles you up. My business model is fairly secure. Free labor, a complete monopoly on services, and an endlessly changing clientele with new gold to spend.” The other chair stopped rocking and a woman got up and turned it toward the elf. She’s short, five foot even perhaps, with a pointed nose and rich clothing. She has a pistol on a bandolier style holster. For now she was silent.

“Elspeth,” the short woman said. “I like your name,” he voice had a harsh accent to it that Ceutinde had never heard. “In my experience improvements usually means spending more money for secondary concerns.”

"Thank you. I find that one person's secondary concerns are quite often another's primary concern, don't you? But at any rate, I'm certainly not paying a thousand gold for a half-share in a dockside shack that requires a telepath and a crocodile to keep its roster of dead-eyed doxies. For that kind of money, you hand me the keys and find a nice place to retire." Her tone was even and measured. Dickering had a way of calming her.

Elspeth laughed. “Told you she’d be fun my dear. Very well, you got til tomorrow morning to get us...eh, nine hundred gold coins.” She moved a necklace chain and held up the key dangling from it as it came out from between her breasts. “We won’t hold our breath but that seems like a fair price. Even if I find your words rather rude for one coming under the guise of a business partner.” Her lip curled, and if it hadn’t already, it became rather clear who the real terror of Priscilla’s was.

Ceutinde gave a genuine smile at the thought of upsetting her, and held out a hand to shake. "Nothing personal, dear," She lied, "Come by my ship at your leisure tomorrow - I imagine that if I were to haul that kind of money across town, there would be an unfortunate accident, and who knows where the coins would end up?"
