The dwarf Isaak uses some sort of spell to jet his arrow-shaped boat towards the island, moving it faster than any of the travelers would have found possible. Even the fastest running man wouldn’t outspent this vessel as it bounces off waves and finally lands ashore. The whole journey took less than ten minutes, and they set foot on Asanar Island.

Parrots fly around and the sky is going grey when they step ashore. “Now them!” Isaak said. “What first? The chimera swamps? The ruins of Chalt? The Sleeping Wyrm? What piques you curious travelers’ fancies today?”

"Ooh ooh! Chimera Swamps, Chimera Swamps!" Archie said excitedly, his right hand raised, like a pupil in class. "I remember the first time I was faced with a Chimera... I must have been your age, Silvia. I was an intern for the great Lord Dafydd Attenshire (rest in peace), it was my second or third expedition under his wings... I have only fond memories. That was the first time I had to regrow a limb!"
"Beautiful, amazing creatures." He said sighing like an enamored teenager. "Just try to avoid the tail... And the fangs... And the claws."

“And the acid spit,” the dwarf helpfully ventured.

Silvia grinned. "I have never seen a chimera. I would like to see one - I want to see everything in the entire world. But you seem to know a lot more about this place than most of us, professor, we should be guided by your thoughts on what Isaak here has suggested. So, yes, my vote is for the Chimera Swamps too."

Herneiros added helpfully, "And every part tastes differently."
He personally preferred the bird part, but was willing to negotiate.
"What about you, Thalia? Are you likewise excited about stinky swamps of poorly designed abominations?

"The Chimera swamps seem nice." Tehol voices specifically because it was a place that shouldn't remind him of K'rull.

Isaak laughs his Danny DeVito laugh. “All right then! Follow me! He sets off into the woods, holding some sort of glowing stick. It’s blue and green and yellow and it seems to form the ground as they walk, as well as keep the mosquitoes they hear buzzing at bay. “The bugs here’ll eat you alive and leave ye shittin’ like you has beer and spicy food!” He roared. His demeanor had changed now that they were in the wilds. “It’s about a two mile walk so ask any questions ye got on the way!”

Silvia turned to Tehol. She was still disturbed by the day's relevations "Is it true, about K'rull?"

Tehol takes a sharp breath, "Yes, the doctor was doing an experiment. Nigel just rushed in punched me in the face and killed K'rull while I was unconscious."

Her stomach twisted in a knot. "I am sorry to hear it. Why would he do that?"

Tehol shrugs, "I couldn't say. We were just trying to stop him from interrupting the Doctor's experiment."

She frowned. "K'rull was adorable and didn't deserve to die but what was this experiment, and why would Thornheart object?"

“These questions sound rather like they’re out to kill that good safari buzz!” Isaak said. They passed a fetid pond. “That’s a purple seersucker’s lair,” he claimed. “They eat magicians. And nope that’s not a joke. They’re immune to magic so far as anyone knows.”

Tehol shrugged again, “Something about sedating one of those shrimp things we fought I think. Then he just accused us of being a spy for the shrimp and attacked us.”
