After leaving Asanar down a ship, the Odyssey sails northeast into the deep blue seas. According to Captain Demeter, the voyage will take six or seven days. There’s a few parrots still flirting in the sails and rigging on the ship but that’s about it for anything approaching scenery.

Having spent the rest of the murder night cleaning her guns, drinking, and attempting to draw the toothy serpent in her journal, Kjell first checked whether the Comte was still alive in the morning, then politely asked the captain if she could make use of her bathtub. A bizarre response later ("If I ask politely, can I watch? Just kidding, I only swing one way. Knock yourself out, I guess." - Brad as Captain Demeter, in verbatim), the request was granted. Kjell took a bath apparently for the first time since Questgiver City and used the Anti-Spyware & Nightmare Repellant (name pending) bath bomb Elise had given her. After that, she found the furthest hammock on the sailors' deck to get some of that deep and dreamless slumber that had evaded her for almost a decade now. When she was woken up eighteen hours later, the ship was already at sea, and she spent the week following alternating between oversleeping and her usual shifts in the crow's nest.

Tehol spends the days at sea doing the odd jobs the crew and captain assigned him as well as training and getting to know his new pet Korabas, while keeping it safe from the Doctor and Thornheart.

Konrad’s men had finished stowing his gear, and he set out to find his quarters on the Odyssey. The loading of the former slaves onto the Tranquility had gone relatively smoothly.
“Well that’s one good deed done,” he said aloud as the ship sailed off toward Bastion. He hoped at some point to find the professor and bard and have a decent chat about this scale, but it would likely need to wait until the great Gamemaster in the sky returned.

"Back onboard!" Archimedes sat on one of his camping chairs in the middle of the deck, likely hindered the traffic of people who were actually doing something of importance. Unlike them, Archie drank a small colorful tea, from a frozen cold cup.
The last few days had been terrible, he had felt like shit after all the ordeal with the pirates and the Flubber. Yet, after retiring for a bit and feeling sorry for himself, he decided to enjoy the sun an the sea breeze.

The Odyssey glided through the choppy waters and the captain had a course set that even the most directionally impaired person on board could tell was virtually due east. Strange sea creatures swam under and around the ship but paid it little mind.
Kjell’s enchanted sleep worked as advertised and her dreams were uh disturbed by giant evil trees and axemen. As Konrad spoke aloud, Zavier nodded his head from the railing not far away. “Is that what being a hero feels like?” He asked in his shy yet earnest voice.

Silvia lounged on deck strumming her lute and singing for the entertainment of anyone who cared to listen. After taking a short break to swig some sale, she started one of her favourite songs, Married to a Mermaid, which had been taught to her by her family's bard when she was a girl.1 Her voice rang out, rich and sweet, as she sang the first stanza and the chorus.
There was a bold young farmer, Who worked in sun or rain; He lov'd a rich Knight's daughter dear! And she lov'd him again. The knight he was distressed, That they should sweethearts be. So he had the farmer soon pressed, And sent him off to sea.
Singing Rule Innuria, Innuria rules the waves Innurians never, never, never shall be slaves...
________________
1 - in the real world, Married to a Mermaid is a folk song sung to the tune of Rule Britannia and featuring the chorus of the same. I edited the 2nd line because there's no Salisbury plain in Innuria (that I know of!)

Justine was glad to be leaving the Pirate Island behind, skeptical as she was about the open water still. She wondered what was to come and whether the weirdness with the blood wizards would follow them to their next location. Konrad had shared what he knew with her and it only made her feel sick to think about.
Instead she distracted herself by leaning on the railing and letting the seabreeze caress her skin and tangle her dark hair while she listened to Silvia sing. It wasn’t a song she knew, but it was a catchy one. It was good to have clean, dry clothes on once again, without bloodstains even.
She overturned an empty bucket and sat near Silvia. “Do you write all your own songs?” She asked when the bard had finished. “I know a few, but I’m not a great singer.”

Silvia smiled. "I'd be a poor bard if I didn't write my own songs," she said. "But this one isn't mine. It's an old song but nobody seems to know who wrote it - there's references to it in books from a couple of hundred years ago. I loved to sing it as a little girl and it was one of the earliest songs I learned to play."
She paused, thinking about the hours she had spent with her mother's bard, learning chords and melodies, practising every note as she strove to master her instrument.
"This is my favourite part." She raised her voice and sung a few more lines of the song.
He met a lovely mermaid At the bottom of the deep blue sea. Singing Rule Britannia, Britannia rules the waves Britons never, never, never shall be slaves... She came at once unto him, And gave him her white hand, Saying, 'I have waited long, my dear, To welcome you to land.
As she trailed off, she grinned and said "I'd love to meet a mermaid, wouldn't you? I wonder if there is such a thing as mermen, too? Though I do wonder if they have all the useful parts."

Yet, after retiring for a bit and feeling sorry for himself, he decided to enjoy the sun an the sea breeze. Ceutinde had spent the first few days settling into her much more restricted quarters and checking up on the minor wounds that those aboard had suffered in the fighting, and now felt quite ready for a bit of leisure. She walked up to Archie and asked, "Mind if I join you, professor? I never did get a chance to thank you for your intervention at the tavern."

Justine shrugged. “I imagine if the Nedrassian Serpent is real, merpeople have as much a chance as anything. There are far stranger things than that in the Mists.” And in the depths of Asylums, she thought to herself. “I don’t think that would be the most interesting thing about mermen. Perhaps second or third most. The first would be that they existed at all. Tell me, would you try to seduce a merman straight away upon meeting one? I hear legends of mermaids drowning sailors...I imagine they are jealous creatures.”

Silvia strummed a note at random then shrugged her shoulders. "Probably, yes, but I'm not a sailor, so I shouldn't be in as much danger. Besides, perhaps I could lure a merman to my side with my voice. Some people say mermaids can do that with sailors so perhaps a bard can be equally dangerous to merpeople. But I would only seduce the merman if the one who came was handsome enough to tempt me."

It should be quite the boot-stomper.”

I've done my share of seductions, after all." Silvia took a swig of ale. "I do hope we see some other strange and wonderful sights by the time we're done. Our encounter with the serpent, and the incident with the pirates. has whetted my appetite for more adventures. And if we can do some good, like we did with those poor souls in the brothel, that's even better. After all, everyone loves a hero, don't you think?"

I was afraid we would be too outnumbered to take on a whole island of pirates...and spending the whole day dashing back and forth across the island...” She shook her head and stretched until her joints cracked in a satisfying way. “I’m actually glad to be back on the ship, though I’m a bit sorry to have lost the Tranquility. Accommodations were much nicer there.” Justine blushed a little. “Even shared.”
