Kjell smiled a little at the snort, or perhaps at the comment, and looked away to the sea for a moment so as not to be caught doing that.
"I thought sorcerers were never late, nor early?" she asked the half-human after a while, turning away from the other elf and the "elf".

Justine laughed. "Better late than running back and forth all day across a pirate-infested island. I'm Justine de Vair."
She nodded to Silvia. "Get Herneiros some pants while you're at it."

“Nice to meet you,” she nodded then looked to Khell, “perhaps if they are a chronomancer, but generally speaking I’m late a lot” Thalia admitted, That wasn’t strictly true In lisandra unless she was meeting the queen, meetings would not have been permitted to begin unless she was present, meaning she was right on time fir most things. “Do you miss your other boat?” She asked them both.

Silvia grinned. "But he's such fun to look at as he is. I could get used to that view. And now you get to enjoy it without me. I'm positively jealous."
She contrived to walk past Herneiros on her way below deck. She accidentally on purpose brushed her arm against his bicep.
"Sorry about that, handsome." She blew him a kiss then sauntered below to get her weapons.

Herneiros, lost in reverie, was surprised by the personal contact and grinned at the passing swashbuckler. Maybe he would make her an extra special meal before they landed...

Ceutinde eyed Silvia's saunter away before turning back to Herneiros. "Herny, once we make sure we're not all going to get eaten by a squid, you really ought to let her get it out of her system. Or get you in her system, rather."

Kjell nodded, acknowledging this new piece of information about magic users. She shrugged at the question. Fewer people had been better, yes, but The Odyssey was bigger, faster, and had an extremely powerful sorcerer aboard. "Nah," she said. "This ship probably has a better shot at... whatever clawed this." She indicated at the debris with her head.

"I just do not want her thinking I am another Nigel Thornheart. I have seen how human males..." He paused to acknowledge an uncomfortable reality. "How other men treat their women."

Demeter listened to them discussing the quality of the boat’s sausage stores then Told the pilot to wheel north a bit to get on a different track away from the sea monsters. “Keep monitoring that ship Kjell,” she said. “If we start to outpace it we may have to make a decision on his aggressive we want to be.”

"I know what you mean, but by the same token there is a diverse spectrum of options in between the poles of Thornhearting her versus waiting for her father's permission to court her." Ceutinde gave a second look toward the bard as she descended below decks. "Besides, if you don't, I've got half a mind to see if her tongue's good for more than songs."

Herneiros considered her words carefully before following the bard down the stairs...

Justine watched nearly spellbound as Silvia and Herneiros went below to seal the deal, or so she assumed. She gasped at Ceutinde. Silvered tongue indeed...that she knew from personal experience.
Shaking her head a bit, she finally turned back to Kjell and Thalia. “Everything I would miss from the other ship is over here now,” she said with a small smile. “So it’s not too much of a loss. The food was better there, though.”

Unlike the bard, she always kept her rifle by her side and so headed straight for the crow's nest. Once there, she looked up and shouted to whoever was up there, "Oi! Get down! Shift change!"

Sensing an impending HR seminar that he was no the catalyst of, Nigel joined his comrades above deck, passing the bard and scantily clad huntsman with a curious glance.
"Good morning, New Mighty Thornhearts!" he greeted them, with a deep breath of the sea air, and a wink at Ceutinde to not so subtlely indicate he had taken her constructive criticism to heart.

The crewman didn’t complain as Kjell came up. She immediately saw something strange up in the clouds. She only noticed it for a moment but she’d have sworn it was an actual ship in the sky. From her much higher vantage point she sees tiny black dots near the horizon. The islands were in sight.
