“Her name is Searshe,” Zavier whispered, “she hired Captain Demeter.” Thalia can’t make out anything of the orb save its utter strangeness in a magical sense. She sees everyone else investigating the Serpent’s orb.

Konrad sees no evidence of the seal as yet, it seems touch only produces this singular effect for now.

Enchanted by the scale's reaction to her, Silvia tapped the scale harder. Then she ran her hand along the surface and sang to it
"I am the deep ocean, silver moon High tide that comes too soon Sea serpents swim below."

As Silvia sings, the strange bloodline movement calms and the scale changes to yellow and orange and blue as her pitch changes, the colors start at the opposite side from her as she moves and ripple toward her in a consistent motion.

She sucked in a breath in wonder as she watched the scale and then continued singing. She wondered what else she could make it do.

Justine went up and knelt beside the scale, watching it glow and shimmer to Silvia’s voice. “That’s pretty and all, but does it do anything else? Surely the serpent gave it to us for a reason.” She touched the edge with one finger.

Math: 118
Thalia watched the scales patterns and timing. Whatever was causing it was being directed by some form of intelligence; the effects aren’t being diminished over distance or with time like a naturally developed pattern would be. If she had time to experiment she could probably glean more information off how it was being triggered.

Thalia frowned and looked at it more closely, “fascinating...” she mumbled and took another look, “I could probably work some information out if you let me spend some time with it, there is something happening that prevents the signals diminishing, I’ve not seen anything like it,”

“I’m not opposed to anyone trying to wring out more answers, as long as the scale itself isn’t damaged.” Konrad said.

Silvia broke off her song. "I'm willing to experiment with different kinds of song, tempo, melody, volume, anything that might make a difference to how the scale behaves."

Herneiros finally arrived, after having had difficulty locating his loin cloth for some reason. He paused by his backpack to grab some pants and a shirt before joining the others. He looked at the scale a moment to see if it was familiar as he put his shirt on.

Tehol while everyone was either frolicking with each other or tapping the bit of scale to examine it just sits back on his crate idly playing his ocarina for Korabas.

"Remarkable!" Archie approached the scale, which he had never seen before and employed his vast natural knowledge to make any assessment that might be useful.

As the professor arrived, Silvia noticed that Herneiros too had come up on deck. "Hello, wild man," she murmured, and shot him a saucy grin.
