Justine rolled her eyes. “Fine!” She put her dagger in the other hand and sprinted off to follow them. Danger was not something to run towards...and yet, here they were. “Everyone, follow Thornheart! But like, dont FOLLOW him!”
They were not the Mighty Thornhearts.

Kjell sighed as both Ceutinde and Justine ran past her into the Mist, and turned only to exchange a 100% done look with Herneiros. “Had I known this was going to be another one of those fucking babysitting jobs...” she muttered in Elvish before following the three.

Silvia rolled her eyes and looked at the remaining party members.
"I can't believe I'm saying this but but we shouldn't rush headlong after them. Let's follow - carefully - and look out for danger."

Thalia watched as they all ran off without thinking at all and well.,, just watched. They could all die, they’d return back, pick up competent people, and return, with this whole experiment behind all the survivors, that seemed like possibly the best solution. But she liked Kjell and didn’t want her to die, “let’s get this farce over with.” She said angrily and prepared to follow along with the others,

Elise and Zavier just watch two thirds of the party rush down the docks as they follow Silvia. The old rotted boards break in places, weakened by decades of disuse and neglect. Nigel’s sabatons smash through several planks as he approached the village, and from two of the buildings arrows lance out toward the party, fired by archers nearly impossible to see. The adventurers are much better illuminated by the moon than anyone inside a tavern or abandoned house would be.
Northeast archer:
98/133
Tavern archer:
146/88
Nigel is struck in his left shoulder by one of the arrows but blocks the second. The second archer struck Justine and narrowly missed Ceutinde.
Nigel takes 8 damage Justine takes 12 damage.

Tehol and Korabas head towards the abandoned housing rather then then the tavern to take out those archers.

Silvia had often been accused of recklessness but she didn't have a death wish. There were occasions when she wanted to rush in like the avenging hero but this was not one of those days so she looked for cover and attempted to sneak after the others. She beckoned to anyone who cared to do the same.

Herneiros promptly vanishes into thin air. Once on the other side of reality, he begins approaching the nearest archer.

Herneiros promptly transforms into Mist himself. Once on the other side of reality, he begins approaching the nearest enemy, bow and arrow at the ready. He prepares his arrows to pierce the veil and the enemy's heart. Stone and wood could not cross the barrier, but magical fire could...

Justine cursed as the arrow sank into her flesh. “Got one for you, Ceutinde,” she grunted, then broke out into a full run. Hell, she even remembered to zig zag.

Ceutinde was distinctly unsettled by the new experience of an arrow flying by her. She picked up her pace from a brisk trot to a sprint, hoping to use the tavern itself as cover while flinging a knockoff magic missile at the tavern window.

Much favouring the stealthy approach to facing the enemy head on, Kjell was now presented with the choice of keeping to the shadows and darting to cover ahead while leaving the three for fodder, or... not doing that. The old scar from a botched arrow removal on her right shoulder ached unpleasantly.
"I don't know," she muttered as she unslung her arquebus and aimed it at one of the windows the arrows had presumably flown out of so that the others could make a run for it, "why you would possibly choose this option."

Thalia could almost have died from shock when it turned out it was an ambush. Thalia looked at one of the rooms where the arrows came from and used her ability over air to create a vacuum inside and collapse the building.

Nigel managed to dodge the arrows as he sprinted straight to the tavern and smashed through the rotten door. Kjell fired a shot at the tavern’s second floor but it didn’t hit anyone, although the archer will probably think twice before poking his head out. The abandoned house with the other archer begins making a strange creaking sound as the air is pulled out of it and some of the weaker walls begin to collapse inside, the archer leaped out the window and landed painfully on the ground then began running between houses to stay away from the assailants.
Ceutinde feels the whistle of an arrow go by her as she moved but her small missile couldn’t find a target and so it dissipated harmlessly but as she passed a window she saw more strange shapes moving around inside, clearly not human. The greenish light coming from most of the village gets brighter as the front party nears and provides better illumination for basic maneuvering.
Second archer takes 15 damage.
Nigel smashed through the door and saw a dozen or more boglops shambling about nearly mindlessly.
