She laughed. "Maybe. You'd have more than your money's worth, I promise. Let's discuss it when we're back on the ship. For now, this beauty stays with me." She patted the hilt of her new sword. "I'm quite happy to use the sack in the future, but I'm not willing to relinquish what I've already got, except for those items I already placed in the sack."
She murmured agreement as Thalia spoke. "Exactly. We can't loiter here all day when there's a job to do."

Tehol walks away laughing at the threat and the idea he’d have to compensate the party for the dagger.

Ceutinde winked at Nigel. "They'll come around. We can have a reasonable discussion back at the ship. Let's go see about these 'blade demons' everyone's so concerned about."

No they would not, Thalia was not paying for a staff no one else could use.
She went back to the bridge all rested and ready to go, making a mental note not to use her earth powers while the ground was so fragile.

Nigel threw his hands up, looking exasperated for a moment. He thought darkly of all the friends he had lost in his years adventuring, recalling that greed was often more dangerous than the mist. He offered Ceutinde a sad smile in response to her attempts to reassure him.
Then one of the de Vair sisters blew a kiss his way and he was back to his usual self. Getting laid was much higher on his priority list than getting loot any day.
"I would rather loosen you up. Aha!" he replied, entirely forgetting the matter of loot. "But first, the Widow is right, there are foes to slay and glory to be won!"

Juliette imagined what Nigel’s blood would taste like. It was surely a rare and unique vintage. She licked her lips hungrily. “Perhaps I’ll take a little taste later on, once we’ve accomplished our mission.”

"You will have to bring your appetite," he slapped her ass, a now common occurrence for Justine but apparently a novel one for Juliette. "Or you may find it hard to swallow."

She moved quickly and Nigel found a knife at his throat. Juliette licked her way up his cheek. “By the way, never touch my sister like that ever again, got it?”
She giggled and put the dagger away. “See you at the bridge!” And then she skipped away, laughing all the way.

Nigel was equal parts aroused and confused as he watched her skip away.
