"There’s an insane amount of magical essence within... detection spells will be of little use once we get in."

"That is good. I do not want to be detected anyway." Damien replied and stepped back to eye the door. He started looking around for another way into the temple, secret entrances, windows or the like. "There is this cute little witch back in Bastion who spends half of her days scrying me. It can some time be down right invasive." Damien held his hand up and made a rude gesture up at the sky. "I think this door can only be opened from inside.... should we try knocking?"

Thalia examined the door, and if she couldn’t make any progress would look for her own way in.

Silvia contemplated the temple thoughtfully. "There must be a way to open it from the outside," she said. She felt the lockbanes in her pocket and strode over to Damien.
"I've something that might help, if we find another door, or a window."

Damien took his time, for once professional despite the nonstop chatter, and other than the one tower they can scale he sees the lake comes close to the west side of the temple and there’s a dried up tunnel that probably once fed water to the place. It’s only a little over two feet wide so whoever goes through can’t be large. Thalia, meanwhile, spends the tome studying the actual entrance and senses a powerful aura of air magic under the door itself. It could be air pressure holding it closed. The use of the magic is rare now but she had heard ancient cultures had used it on occasion.

Thalia nodded and looked at the group,
“Everyone stand well back, if this works I don’t know what will happen” she said to them and stood in front of the door, she raised a hand, and her eyes abd the tips of her hair glowed white. She attempted to use her powers of aerokenisis to attempt to alter the air pressure of the door to make whatever was holding it Break and open the door.

Damien looks at Sylvia and says, "You were right there was another way in." He winked at her, and said, "Follow me. Just do not grab my ass. I know it is very tempting, but this is not really the time." He then smiled excitedly, and crawled into a tunnel. It was moments like these that he bothered to keep breathing. He eagerly crawled into a dark tunnel like a worm with a stupid grin on his face.

Silvia smirked at the thief before he turned away. She was about to make a smart remark but she was eager to get into the tunnel so she simply followed him instead. She kept low, trying to avoid banging her head.

Tehol sends Korobas after them through the small tunnel to help protect and to act as a way for them to communicate to the main group.

“Wait, maybe don’t...” Kjell began as she watched the thief and the bard slip into the hole, followed by the adolescent hydra. She sighed and went after them.

Thalia calmly focused and her hands moved in an increasingly complex pattern as she felt for the air inside and willed it to settle. The temple seemed to react to it slightly but the passage of millennia had presumably weakened whatever spells had held it together and the door opened with a screech as the age old metal scraped on each other. A blast of stale air washed over the sorceress and those near her as light shone inside for the first time in centuries. The first chamber is just a empty space with another huge door at the other end but it is open too for whatever reason. It’s dark inside so they can’t see past the the first forty or so feet.

Archie looked into the darkness of the new room. He was much more of an outdoorsman than a dungeoneer and for old, stale stuff, he found that he himself was enough. So he opted to stay behind while the quartet of colleagues went forward. Of course, they would need a secure place to fall back to if need arose, so he started preparing some phytotherapeutic teas as a precaution.

“Shall we go in?” asked Juliette, for once not moving boldly ahead. The dark, closed space reminded her of a cell in the asylum.

Tehol wonders why everyone is hesitating as he pops his head past the door's threshold. THey had already sent a team into the building, and judging by him periodically entering Korobas's head to see what they were doing. "Shelter is Shelter, if the door hasn't been opened in a long time then chances are nothing is inside waiting for us." He says stupidly.

Elise put a potion in her belt to access later on the assumption that a date with pain was inevitable, while Zavier stared down at his bauble then tucked it away and drew his single slim blade. “We came this far,” he said. “This dungeon won’t crawl itself.”
Elise just arched a dark eyebrow at Tehol. “You already forgot the light show on the bridge eh?” She asked. “I’d say it’s clear whatever used to power this place is still quite active.”
