A somewhat archaic term for the area of a building where permanent or recharging spells are anchored, a spellhold is typically either difficult to access or heavily trapped to deter intrusion.

Entering the tunnel proves a bonding event of sorts for the quartet of adventurers who proceeded, and after hearing the main entrance open loudly, the metallic clangs reverberating through the funnel, they continue on straight through to where the waterway opens up above. Poking his head out, Damien sees a sight quite unlike any he had encountered. A dozen tubes reaching from ceiling to floor are continuously pulsing with different colored crackles of energy, like a lightning show contained in a bottle. The rays head from the holes in the floor and funnel into the exits at the ceiling. The room is about thirty meters on a side and is somewhat longer than it is wide. The center of the room is filled with tables loaded with ancient beakers and potion jars and a lockbox glowing green. An unmoving silvery suit of armor clutching a greatsword that towers over the party members is blocking the only exit from the chamber directly in front of them.

Kjell looked around and crossed her arms so she wouldn't accidentally touch anything. "Everything in here looks cursed," she commented. "Don't touch that shit."

Behind Damien, Silvia wondered whether the tubes of light had something to do with the vision they had seen before arriving at the temple. She thought there was probably magic involved, not that she knew anything about magic. Her eye was drawn to the glowing lockbox, which reminded her of the green 'gems' they had encountered earlier.

The tunnel was clogged with too many people. So Damien shrugged and decided that they only way on was back. He whispered back to Sivia softly, "There is something up here. If it kills me. Run." Then trying very hard to keep the table in the middle between him and the temple guardian. Damien climbed out of the hole, and moved into the room as silent as death. He clung to floor as he moved into the room.

Silvia motioned to the others to remain still and quiet. She peered out of the tunnel and watched Damien, to see if he was attacked.

Damien slides out and silently rolls to reduce the noise he caused. His hair stands on end like there’s a lot of ambient static electricity, but otherwise nothing has yet noticeably reacted to his presence. Now that’s he’s in the room he can see that some of the vials and the like have labels in a language he can’t read and he can feel the warmth coming off the energy tubes.

Korabas slithers and flicks his six tongues while inaudibly hissing cause snake things. "Hhhiiiisssss."

Damien slides back to the tunnel and then sticks his head down, and whispers, "Come up, but be careful.... there is a thing up here." He then moves back to the table. Then he looks at the vials to determine if they are well sealed. If they are he pockets one, or two. He keeps low, and looks around the room for traps besides the automated guardian.

Silvia opied Damien's movehent of sliding and rolling. If all went well she would approach the lockbox.

Korabas enjoying this style of movement, though also slightly confused why these humans were copying him continues to just slither and slide around to and fro just taking stock of the room.

Kjell unholstered the gun, pretty sure she’d have to fight the statue (or something) soon because the two were definitely about to touch that shit.

The vials are well sealed, albeit centuries old, and he pockets them without issue. Silvia slides her greedy self over to the lockbox which glows brighter as she approaches. It has a spot for a key but the hinge seems to be open anyway. She can probably just open it.
Ironically, as Kjell draws her gun a small blue ray reaches from the armor’s eye and lands directly on it.

Kjell put the gun back into the holster, very slowly (like she was invisible).
