Damien stands up straight and looked at Kjell. "You might want to put that away. This gentleman does not seem to like weapons. I cannot say I blame him." He started looking at the vials more closely on the table. "My secondary concern is that he also may not like us leaving this room." Damien looks at the other tunnels to see if any of the tunnels from the ground or ceiling could take them out of this room.

They could continue on their way from the water tube they had crawled in on. Other than that, even his keen senses detect only the single door. The blue light shuts off as Kjell holstered the weapon but they can see the sword it wields is now lightly glowing the same color. They may not have caused the ancient golem to react, but it had clearly awakened.

Silvia opened the box, slowly and carefully. She was sure there was no coincidence in the glowing light being here in the temple.

The chest made a slight but noticeable hissing sound and steam came out as she opened it. Most of the container’s materials are long rotted and wasted away, but rummaging through the desiccated materials revealed a wand or rod about a half inch thick and maybe a foot and a half long, not unlike a conductor’s baton. Damien and Kjell, meanwhile, hear “Native subject corruption level exceeds threshold, sanitization recommended,” coming from the suit of armor. It’s followed by “energy level sufficient for activation in three minutes”. The message continues quietly repeating.

Silvia picked up the rod. She thought it might be a magic wand so she'd get one of the mages to look at it. Perhaps one of them would be able to get some use out of the rod.

She picked it up and it turned the same color as the red lightning shooting from the tube nearest her. The tip glows brighter and the Armor’s empty visor begins glowing with the same light. It shifts slightly and unblocks the exit, noisily moving to stand perpendicular to the door now like an honor guard.

"Wow." She grinned at the rod in her hand then turned to the others. "Maybe I have magic after all," she joked. "Shall we move on? Who wants to lead the way?"

Kjell blinked at Silvia a few times. “.......I guess,” she said, moving to the door, and very carefully opening it.

Silvia followed Kjell to the door. She kept hold of the rod in case it was useful later on.

Damien walked up to the guardian. “Good sir or madam. I humbly request that you do not sanitize us. We are good people... well somewhat decent people. Please protect us.” While talking Damien studied the suit of armor closely.

Silvia accidentally bumped the rod while moving it and it changed color to a green that matches another of the tubes of energy. The guardian likewise changes color. It is ancient and the lacquer that had been on its armor has faded, but it appears plenty functional. It does not in any way acknowledge the gentleman thief’s presence.
As Kjell opened the door, she felt another rush of musty air. She could see upwards at least two hundred feet, the tubes’ energy flowing and illuminating the room. A ladder leads up to the ceiling, with several stops along the way. There’s also two locked doors to the left and an old aquarium in the center of the room, but the waters long since gone and now it’s just a pile of rocks inside a glass tank. Silvia sees the floor’s ancient tiles faintly glow to match the rod as well.

"Yeaaah," said Kjell, looking at the magicy clusterfuck going on in the next room. "We should probably head back and get a magic user up in here."

Silvia stopped dead, gazing in wonder at the glowing tiles.
"It's very beautiful in a strange kind of way," she said. "I'm willing to go fetch one of the others, if you like. Does either of you want to hold onto this thing, though? I think we should keep it inside, at least until we have explored as much as we can."

Damien walked into the next room with Kjell and looked around. "Those are locked doors." He turned and looked at the sharpshooter, "I don't kow if I have mentioned but I am allergic to locked things." He held up a hand, and pointed at the back of his palm, "You see that. I am already already covered in goosebumps. There is only one cure... I am afraid." He scratched at the back of his hand, and then walked forward slowly. His eyes scanning the floor between him and the nearest door looking for anything out of the ordinary. "You all should stand back, I am doing something colossally stupid, but you don't have my luck." If the path was clear he walked to the nearest locked door.

“Not really,” said Kjell in response to Silvia but extended a hand anyway to accept the strange... rod. She registered Damien slipping into the other room from the corner of her eye and quickly reached out in an attempt to pull him back by his collar.
