"If he was an intruder he would have known how to open the door. It was not that heard even when the time lock was working." He grabbed a handful of coins then he began to search the room properly, "Though there has to be something more in here. There is no way a single chest and books are enough for around the clock guards. There has to be something else in this room." He started to whistle as he worked. He searched every where for secrets; doors, cubbyholes, floor panels. He looked for everything.

Kjell looked for the source of the draft, with her elf eyes tm

Damien bonus applied to search.
It takes them about three minutes even with the tool being nearly empty. Underneath the chest with the flood is an almost imperceptible line in the floor, and after fiddling with it the pair manage to activate it. The trapdoor simply falls down and they heard it land a second later with a brutal clanging sound. They see a dozen containers with the tubes plugged into them. Each has a different shade of color coming from it as before. Two of the metal automatons lurk here, these armed with colossal maces that probably weigh more than Kjell does they are facing a door with a sickly orange light coming from the cracks on any side of it.

Korobas hangs one of his heads down past the trap door and flicks his tongue all snake like. A resounding "Hiiisssss" erupts from his other five heads.

As the two find the trap door Elise and Silvia squirm through the tunnel again. The sorceress isn’t dressed well for the endeavor and her robes get stuck a few times but they get to the power room. The wizard looked about. “That’s...that’s not possible,” she said. “This can’t possibly still be working after thousands of years.”

The wizard looked about. “That’s...that’s not possible,” she said. “This can’t possibly still be working after thousands of years.” Silvia frowned. "What is it?" She asked. "I mean, it's obviously magic but what does it do?"

Elise frowned as she watched it. “It’s a...it’s gathering energy,” she said. “ but I cannot imagine for what. We should go up and inspect whatever it is they’re using to store it. That might tell us what’ it’s for.”

"You can count on me. I want to see what it all means, and how that rod fits in with it all. And the pretty display on the floor as well. It must mean something, something to do with their gods." She frowned. "Do you think the people here worshipped the same gods as we do?"

Kjell stepped away from the hatch in case the sentinels had laser eyes or something. Once the bard and the sorcerer joined them, she tossed the magic rod to the latter. “Dunno what that does,” she helpfully added.

Elise nodded as she took the rod and studied it. “It matches the energy from the tubes,” she redundantly noted. She said a few words and waved it but nothing happened. “I think it’s to control the security magic here.” She turned to Silvia. “I don’t think they worshipped the same gods..no,” she said. “The spirits are saying they wanted to reach the stars. But...” her eyes went entirely white for a second and then she blinked and it was over, “but the stars sent something down. This isn’t a temple...” she looked at the multicolored floor and the giant suit of armor, “this is a prison.” She concluded quietly.

Silvia shivered at Elise's eyes turned entirely white, and she felt a chill down her back when she heard that the place was a prison.
"That's horrid. But who were the prisoners? Not the mages, I assume. Dragons? Or someone else?"

“I have no idea...” she said, looking down into the secret room. “But I suspect the answer won’t be too long in revealing itself.”

"Yes, let's go deeper," Silvia said. She glanced around the assembled party. "Shall I go first? I'm our swordswoman, after all. But I hope you'll all keep your weapons handy, in case we're attacked."
She climbed through the trapdoor, trying to think of it as just another heist in which she robbed the rich to feed the poor. Then she drew her sword and called for the others to join her.

Korabas ever the apathetic creature he is. Continues to slither around all willy nilly like.

Korabas was pretty much the perfect pet, Kjell thought. She'd had a dog once but all he'd done was die. Sad.
She sighed as Silvia lowered herself into the chamber below, and inched closer to the hatch, her hand resting on the handle of her gun in case the automatons attacked the bard.
