A tavern/music hall, run by one of the more notorious gangsters in Bastion. Andrej One-Eye rules a solid chunk of the southern docks with his gangs and bribes. He is, however, an excellent source of information if one isn't on his bad side. His stronghold is a brothel converted from an old naval barracks called the Drunken Serpents.

After putting his name in Georgio's book so the guild knows where he went off gallivanting. Tehol makes his way to see Andrej to see if he can get more information about this job or mission from the man himself.

The Drunken Serpents tavern is an impressive collection of the finest malcontents in all of Bastion. Gamblers and mercenaries and the great unwashed masses teem, handed drinks by endlessly harried servers. Large, grim looking men with blue snake tattoos on their right arms guard the place, pistols on their belts and harsh riding crops at their other side. One grunts at him as he entered but he’s ignored otherwise. The tavern has an open floor plan with a second floor and a guarded door to Tehol’s left that looks like it’s made from a thicker wood than the rest of the place.

Tehol, with Korobas wound loosely around his neck like a living scarf purely so no stepped on the giant snake. Approaches the guarded door, "I'm with the reclaimer's guild. There was a help wanted ad your boss sent to us."

The big guard crinkled his nose at the man then shook his head and muttered something to a girl who scurried upstairs and into a room. A second later she came out and waved from the overhead railing. “Fine,” the giant grunted. “No funny shit. Boss don’t much like to laugh if yeh feel me.”

"Very kind of you." Tehol says to the man before making his way towards the stairs, He does lower his head and sniffs at his shirt which was on it's second week of being worn and wonders what the guard was smelling. He approaches the girl and smiles at her. "May I go in?"

“Don’t ask her,” a smooth voice called from inside the room, “she doesn’t own this establishment.” The girl just stared at him wide-eyed and clearly waited for him to go inside before running back down the stairs. The room Andrej is seated in is full of strange weapons and trinkets. It looks like a pirate’s den, flatly. “I, on the other hand, am the proprietor of this place of business.” He has long but cleanly brushed hair and bright piercing green eyes. A dagger is sticking from the top of his desk and he appeared to have been writing something. “So you’re here to see about the job,” he stated, “good. I need someone found. Think you can accept payment in exchange for that sort of thing?”

"She was standing there with either the look of a secretary or about to bend over for you. I wanted to make sure she wasn't planning the later so as to not interrupt." Tehol says "Yeah, that doesn't sound like too much trouble, who do you need found?"

Andrej pulled the dagger from his desk and spun it on his tip while Tehol talked. “She’s a courtesan,” he said, “robbed a friend of mine once. Got a lead on her and she up and vanished into the winds a few months back. Her name’s Johanna apparently. Once upon a time went by Annabelle.” He took a drink and slid the bottle to Tehol. “That something you can do? Go find some sprinting harlot?”

Tehol watches the dagger spin around and around. "Think it is something that I can manage to do. The add you posted made it seem like she headed into the mists, what makes you think she'd dare run in there."

“If she ran many other places I fee I’d have found her myself,” the gangster said. “But I could be wrong. She used to hang out by the docks. I’d sort of assumed this lady just pissed another man off and got a knife in the gut, but then this lady comes in yesterday and says she heard she came back. So way I see it, best to see if someone I got no history with does the searching for me, right?”

“All I can do is try. I’ll let you know when I come up with something. Wouldn’t happen to have access to anything that used to be hers do you?” He asks trying to see what the man’s own efforts had brought him.

Andrej nodded. “Point in fact, we found a room she stayed at, got some of her clothing and the like. Been a while though. Like I said I’d almost rid myself of the junk until I heard she may be back from the dead.” He got up and called for Claire. The girl from earlier sprinted back up. “Take him to the laundry and get that box out I told you about. Then get this man whatever he likes to drink.” He turned back to the beastmaster. “Claire will sort you out. Drinks on me tonight, hm?” He sits down then raised a hand in remembrance. “Oh, of course. I can pay twenty gold for her location...” he shrugged and smiled as he drank, “or a hundred for her.”

Tehol nods at the man, as he gets up to leave. “I’ll be sure to to find her regardless of her state of being, and if she is in a state of decomposition, you and your friend will at least get some closure.”

Andrej nodded and Claire led him to the back and handed him a basket of clothes. “This is it,” she said. “What’ll you have to drink sir?”
