Previously on the upper floors of the original tavern, the healers now work out of a newer wing. The ground floor is a large open-bay area for minor cases, with curtains for some degree of privacy, and upstairs are individual rooms for longer-term care, both physical and mental.

Archie ran through the jungle, and the shadows followed. He had left his suitcase in the camp, none of this potions were here to save him... And his pursuers kept closing in. His arthritic legs wouldn't keep up much longer, he knew. But he had to try, he had to get out of this place.
Dead. All of them. His friends, his pupils, his wife, his daughter. All gone, eaten by the things that pursued him. His head hurt so much, but why? He couldn't remember. In fact, he could remember nothing. But diverting his energy to trying to recall how he had gotten there was all it took. Snap. His foot caught on a fallen branch. The ground hit him like... Well... The ground. And just like that, the shadows were upon him.
"MARIANNE!" Archie woke up screaming, his head burning up in pain. He looked around, still fizzled by the dream. Where was he? He couldn't recall, the last thing he remembered was entering the temple with the party and then blackness... Nothing. His hands felt for his head. Gauze and bandages. Maybe he had hit it somewhere and passed out. But, he felt so much weaker, lighter. He mas have gone out for a long time.
"Someone?! Please." Archie tried to moved in bed, but it was just too much. "Help. An old man needs help. Please. Where am I? What am I doing here? What's going on? Please." He whimpered through the burning pain.

A woman walked up next to him. His daughter. She could be counted on for sanity. “Father,” she said, putting a cloth drenched in cool water on his forehead. “Your assistant said that you were attacked by a Mist creature and hit your head on a rock.” She waggled a finger at him. “You’re getting too old to be putting yourself out front.” She looked ever so much like her mother in that moment. “You know the Board is going to be all over me about letting you go.”

"Eliza, my darling." Archie was glad to see his daughter again. There was still a that eerie hangover feeling after waking up from a nightmare, when you are not sure if what happened was real or not. He was glad she was well and here with him. "What happened? Did we do it? Did we stop the... What were we fighting again?"
"I can handle the Academy, like I did thousands of times before." The old man said stubbornly, actively ignoring that fact that, more often than not, it had been Eliza who had cleaned his ass before the academic council. "Now now, I've had this idea for a new venture... Aaaargh"
In his excitement he tried to get up, but to no avail, the pain burned through his limbs and he fell back to the feather bed.

“Elise said that your mission was a success. The dragons have returned,” she noted. “Now you must sleep now father. Your next whimsical dream can wait a bit to become a proper nightmare.”

"Dragons?! That's marvelous. I have zero recollections of our mission having anything to do with dragons!" The old man remarked joyfully, his eyes gleaming like a child's. "The Steller Book of Dragons, I'm quite sure that would be a bit in the academic circles."

Only Archimedes could forget the dragons. Eliza kissed his forehead and then took her leave to let him sleep.

"Eliza, dear... Could you send for Tehol Nookington?" Archie asked politely. "He was part of our party, and I feel like I have some catching up to do with him."

Eventually at some point in time Tehol does arrive to see what the deer old doctor needs. After a nurse points him to the Doctor's bed he approaches the old timer. "Glad to see you looking better then when we dragged you off of the boat." He says patting the man's knee.

"Tehol, my boy! I'm feeling great already..." The whimpering sound he made while trying to seat on the bad revealed that couldn't be further from the truth. "I just can't chase away the eerie feeling of having the last couple weeks reader from my mind. But I guess it could be worse."
"Ignore an old man's complaints. What are the news? What is the old crew up to? Couple more days and I'll be ready to get on the road again." Archie said excitedly. "I feel bad for missing out the latter part of our adventure. In fact, while I waited for you I did indeed consider retiring... But no, I'm still at the peak of my health."

"Things have been good, We have all kind of separated to go do our own things. Cyanide has your share of the gold from the excursion and there was a magical artifact that we thought you would be able to use that gave to her to hold for you as well." Tehol says watching the man groan in pain while trying to actually think back on how he had gotten injured in the first place.

"Oh that sounds remarka..." The old man was interrupted by a sudden blast of bile coming up his throat. Fortunately, he was able to grab the pail that the nurse had left beside his bed in time. "Ok, I may not be 100% yet. But I'll soon be, and I'll talk to Ceuntinde about that item. Thank you for remembering this old fella."
"Maybe I'll take a couple of months off, eh? Finish writing my book, maybe write a new edition of Fauna of the Empire after our little adventure." The old man stroked his mustache. "Not sure Eliza will allow me to get out of bed anytime soon."
