Silvia headed to the bar to grab a drink . She didn't want to intrude while Ceutinde was busy tending Kjell.

"Sounds good," she replied with a nod. "And it's good to see you." She allowed a small smile and then snorted in amusement, as if at a private joke, before sobering up again. "Sorry. It's just... I've been running around with this nasty head wound for days. Feels pretty damn good not to. Thanks again."

Days? "Come sooner next time. We don't want you stuck in the ward by the time you're my age." The advice was only a little sharp in tone. "But it's my pleasure. We'll chat later." She slid around Kjell to greet Silvia at the bar. "Songbird, darling. Kill any slavers lately?"

Silvia turned to grin at Ceutinde. "One or two. It's remarkably easy to play the sweet innocent lady and bat my eyelashes, and then, bam, off come their heads." The grin deepened.
"I've been focusing mostly on my music though. I enjoy ridding the world of scum but it's more of a side job. Something to do when I need to step away from the taverns and the mansions and the tyranny of the blank page. Mostly, I'm enjoying just being Silvia, though. How have you been? Got any wealthy new patrons?"

"There's always someone else willing to throw their money at a worthy cause. Or throw their money at having the night of their dreams. Same thing in the end, really." She sipped at a glass of wine that had appeared. "You know you're welcome to play here whenever you like. We had such a lovely night last time."

"I'd be honoured," Silvia said. "Perhaps I'll even find the man of my dreams here one night." She winked and sipped her drink. After a moment, she said "So what's next? Have you got any particular plans? I'm at something of a loose end myself."

Post by Dr. Archimedes Steller on Feb 1, 2021 23:15:02 GMT
"Well well well, if it isn't that the crew has actually been brought back together..." The diminutive elder made his way into the Ceuntinde's hall, a broad smile under his heavy mustache. Unlike his previous appearances, Dr. Archimedes Steller seemed a bit more... relaxed. Forced into retirement by his daughter and the Academy, Steller had spent the last six months enjoying the best that his fortune could offer. The old man had thrown away the beige set and pith helmet, adopting a much more colorful look for himself. Instead of his massive old luggage, he now wore a purple fanny pack that anyone with any sense of style would have found atrocious.
"I am truly glad to see you all again. Not that any of you bothered to visit me while I was convalescing. But all is well, a grandfather can't hold any grudges against his favoreti grandchildre."" He said while taking a seat, and producing a glass of transparent liquid with cubes of ice and lime slices floating inside. "Cocktails, anyone?"

Have you got any particular plans? I'm at something of a loose end myself." "Nothing more than weathering the storm, at the moment. We've managed to stay outside the fray, despite the bodies turning up in alleys. And the best way to fight is always to let someone else do it for you." Ceutinde took another sip and glanced around the room. "But truth be told, I wouldn't mind a little excitement as a change of pace."

Silvia grinned. "I knew it! Our sea voyage gave you a taste for adventure. That's the thing, you see. I love performing, and it's wonderful to have regular clients, but every so often I'll get wanderlust - a burning desire to be somewhere else, to see new places and do new things. Besides, a little adventure adds a certain spice to life. I'm sure your customers will appreciate new stories, too."

"I don't know about a taste for adventure, strictly speaking. I'd still rather be perfectly safe, and not having to reattach any limbs on anyone else. But a change of scenery can do a world of good, even if I don't have a brilliant muse inside to keep stimulated, like you."

"Fair enough. We shall have to find you somewhere to travel where there are no wicked slavers or other scoundrels to worry about. But where? I'm not sure such a paradise exists in the real world."

"I'd argue it does." She glanced around the room with a smile. "Only trouble is that I built it and live in it. Worse things than getting bored with paradise, I suppose."

"Well, there you go. If you already live in paradise, it's impossible to be satisfied with anywhere else," Silvia teased. "But that doesn't solve your problem. Have you started looking seriously about where else you might go to? Would you take Justine with you? Are the pair of you still attached at the hip?"

Kjell inched away from the healer and the bard and leaned an elbow on the counter with her back to the two to get out of their earshot. “So,” she said, leaning in towards the bartender. “What was was her name again?” she asked, motioning with a nod to the healer.

Thalia arrived wearing a deep red, flowing dress with translucent lace round the arms, it wasn’t form fitted and gave her a floatier air, her staff was clasped at a slight angle against her back to help her walk with it. She had been hard at work, looking for murderers and trying to decipher to secrets of the orbs, whilst preparing for voyages. She approached the others,
“Thank you for the invitation,” she noticed the old quack who had so seriously endangered their last mission, and made note to avoid him. “it has been too long,” she glanced at Kjell alone at the bar.
“I brought you this,” she had read it was customary to bring the host a gift or contribution, and she decided to bring a rare gel substance from her homeland that could change how the users senses worked, allowing them to momentarily taste colours, for example, she was sure Ceutinde would recognise it if no one else.
