The barkeep slid her a drink as she asked, his face peeking up with a hint of surprise. “Huh,” he said, “I thought everyone knew the Lady Ceutinde. She runs our fine establishment. You feeling better? Anything else we can offer you?” He gestured around to the bevy of entertainment options available.

"Well, there you go. If you already live in paradise, it's impossible to be satisfied with anywhere else," Silvia teased. "But that doesn't solve your problem. Have you started looking seriously about where else you might go to? Would you take Justine with you? Are the pair of you still attached at the hip?" "I wouldn't say the hip is quite the right body part, dear," Ceutinde answered with a smirk, before turning to Thalia as she approached. Thalia arrived wearing a deep red, flowing dress with translucent lace round the arms, it wasn’t form fitted and gave her a floatier air, her staff was clasped at a slight angle against her back to help her walk with it. She had been hard at work, looking for murderers and trying to decipher to secrets of the orbs, whilst preparing for voyages. She approached the others, “Thank you for the invitation,” she noticed the old quack who had so seriously endangered their last mission, and made note to avoid him. “it has been too long,” she glanced at Kjell alone at the bar. “I brought you this,” she had read it was customary to bring the host a gift or contribution, and she decided to bring a rare gel substance from her homeland that could change how the users senses worked, allowing them to momentarily taste colours, for example, she was sure Ceutinde would recognise it if no one else. "Welcome, Thalia, sweetheart. Oh, you shouldn't have," She said out of reflex, before actually looking at the gift and then back up at the mage, "Belay that - you absolutely should have and did, darling. Silvia, have you ever tried this? It'll make you hear smells and feel sounds. Thalia, thank you so very much. I can already tell this is going to be quite the party."

Silva looked at the strange gel with curious eyes. "I can't say it looks familiar, no. It sounds interesting, though, so I'm game. I'm sure your staff here could find some amusing ways to use it." She smiled at Thalia. "Good evening. It's been too long. But Ceutinde here always knows how to get the best out of people."

Justine had the wherewithal to blush. She had been drinking and thinking...and perhaps focusing a bit too much on the latter than the former.
"Oh, Silvia. And Thalia?" She had only met the sorceress once after their mission with everyone as a team. It was the dinner where Justine had first met the real Nigel. "I'll try it, if you're offering. Sounds like teaparties on the ceiling before too long!" She smiled brightly at the other ladies.

Thalia looked round at the women, "not quite but it should provide some diversion atthe very least. Don't have too much though, some people from my homeland found themselves addicted to the sensations and had to be... well, it was the best thing for them by the end." she admitted and nodded to the women, "as with all things though, moderation saves us all. What have you all been up to?"

Justine shrugged. She had growing blanks in her memory recently. Juliette was getting stronger. She kept that to herself.
“Mostly just been making myself useful, doing whatever Ceutinde asks of me.” She smirked a little as she sipped her wine. “How about you?”

"Work, mostly, research, it is frustratingly slow going but the most worthwhile things often take the longest." She nodded and sipped the drink. "i had no idea you were working for Ceutinde, that's good for you."

"But better for me." Ceutinde said, running an affectionate hand down Justine's back. "Justine and her sister - though more the former than the latter - are helping me with a bit of research of my own. Not to mention looking into some nefarious types that we both have reason to want dealt with. She's terribly handy."

Silvia quietly excused herself to Ceutinde and the others. She needed to answer the call of nature.

Kjell noticed that for some reason her coins were all from different places. She hadn’t the faintest idea where the hell she’d ever have found a Colonies Guilder. “Gathering’s for the lady’s friends from an adventure not long ago,” he said. “They went on a sailing ship and did all sorts of heroics from the songs. The lady is too demure to say direct, of course. She knows how to cultivate an air of mystery.” He took a drink himself. “You need a room for later?”

Justine smiled and nodded. “And of course the politics of reclaiming one’s title and lands and things.”
“So, how do we use this?” She gestured toward the vial Thalia had brought. “Do we mix it into a drink?”

The adventurers are talking and planning the use of some mild psychotropic substances when one of Ceutinde’s guards entered and swiftly walked to her. “My lady,” he said, “a priest is here to see you. He says the matter is urgent.” He frowned. “He’s in the foyer.”

"A priest? Which god?" Ceutinde asked, curious. She set the jarful of drugs down on the bar and smoothed out her dress.

The guard thought a second like he hadn’t considered the question but then answered. “The Church of Mythan,” he said. Ceutinde had had disagreements with their kind before, but in general they were the easiest of the major human religions to work with. “He said only you could help with this particular issue.”
