Eventually, having also paid for a room, Kjell left the bar, to her credit not swaying even a little despite all the blood loss or the half a bottle of whiskey she’d just gone through. She stopped by the adventurers’ table when she noticed the concerned looks. With a poker face, she turned to this Lady Ceutinde.
“Pro-“ she hiccuped, “-blem?”

Ceutinde glanced toward the apparently-amnesiac elf. "Yes, but more my problem than yours. Outbreak of disease. Hopefully not too serious, but we'll see."

“Mm yeah, that sounds bad,” said Kjell with a slight frown. “Good luck though.”

Taking her seat at the bar,"I'd like a room please and anything you have that's stiff enough to drink." Tanyth took a sip of the drink she ordered and quietly surveying the citizens, especially the elf that just left the bar. She didn't look too good.

"That's..." Justine gave Ceutinde her full attention as Kjell left. "How far away are they? Do you need me to take a message to the isolation wards? Are..."
She paused as someone else came in: the first one she didn't recognize at least in passing. If she had been feeling merry still, Justine might have gone over to clink her drink against the newcomer's. Instead a nod of acknowledgement was all she could spare.
"What if they're...?" She couldn't bring herself to say incurable. If the temple couldn't help, they might be, though. Or maybe it was a curse. Ceutinde would get to the bottom of it though, wouldnt she?

Raising her glass with a small smile, Tanyth acknowledged the nod greeting and continued taking in her surroundings.

"We'll save them if we can. That's all it comes down to. Don't worry about the wards, the staff can handle it." Ceutinde answered, before following Justine's eyes toward the recent arrival. This bar wasn't actually closed off for the party, so she was more than welcome, of course. And frankly, a distraction before the victims were brought over couldn't hurt.
"Pleasure to have you, friend," She called over, "Always good to see kin from the forest. New in town?"

"Thank you", she replied,"and not really. I think I just needed a change of pace from...." Slightly chuckling to herself to find the right words,"Past experiences." She smiled extending her hand,"Tanyth, pleased to meet you...." She waited her name, she didn't want to be rude in her introduction.

Ceutinde took the offered hand and gave the secret elf handshake. "Ceutinde, proprietess of the House of Peace and Respite for Our Heroes, sometime Reclaimer, but mostly just an overworked healer." She nodded toward Justine. "This is of course Justine de Vair, the legendary adventurer and heroine of Al Khial."

"Sometime Reclaimer? I always thought it was full penance of servitude", she joked,"Atleast it feels like that to me sometimes."
She completed the elven greeting with Ceutinde and greeted the human with her,"Pleased to meet you as well, Justine. I believe I have heard tales of about your adventures."

Justine shook her head. “Oh no, I haven’t done that much. Ceutinde is exaggerating. And half of my fabled exploits were done by my...” She paused. No. “Well. It’s nice to meet you, Tanyth. Have you been in Bastion very long? My family lived out Vitoria way but that was a long time ago and I haven’t been back.”

"Oh come now, don't be so modest", she smiled. "And I have been here awhile actually. All of life." Tanyth took in a small sigh,"I studied at the Academy for a time."

"She's right, dear, no need to be so demure. You're a Mighty Thornheart, after all." Ceutinde continued with a grin. "Good that they're letting our kind in these days, Tanyth. It wasn't always the case. And what did you study?"

"I studied this...", Tanyth moved her hand slowly over her glass, muttering slightly. "What do you see?" Internally, the illusion was supposed to give the trick of her drinking glass now looking like a glittering golden goblet.

Ceutinde giggled at the glamour. "Very nicely done. I was actually thinking the other day that an illusionist would be a smart hire. As it stands, we of course do our best to cater to our clients' desires, but if we could just nudge things a little bit - change our experts' hair to exactly the color the client wants, say, or make the room they're in appear to be somewhere else entirely - it could truly go a long way."
