Silvia had been watching the scene that had taken place, and, since she might one day be required to write a song about their adventures, had sat quietly taking notes during the conversation. She wanted to get an idea of the various personalities who had been invited upon the expedition. She kept an eye on the woman in green, whose face was familiar to her.

Konrad raised his eyebrow at Thornheart’s antics but while others seemed content to tolerate it, he saw no sense in being contrary. He could understand the elf’s desire to get away from Thornheart’s overbearing nature, but had concerns. “Separate ships will make the planning process difficult, I would think. It might be advisable if we stick together. Although If you have some trusted first mate to captain it in your stead, it could serve as the back up that the master thief urges?”

She wanted to get an idea of the various personalities who had been invited upon the expedition. She kept an eye on the woman in green, whose face was familiar to her. The paladins seem to have lost interest in the enterprise but the green dressed woman finally turns and catches Silvia’s gaze. Her eyes widen in recognition but like the singer she cannot seem to place her identity either.

Silvia subtly waved her pen, indicating that the woman could come over and join her, if she wanted to. She was content to let others do the planning for the expedition at this stage and there was no point interrupting while the question of ships had not yet been settled.

"It's not as though we'll be sailing a completely different route. It will be perfectly simple to send messages by flag and people by small boat. I have even heard of so-called 'fleets', comprised of many ships, that somehow manage to coordinate their plans and movements," Ceutinde replied to her fellow 'tourist' with a smile, doing her best to sound pleasantly jocular rather than condescending, "Though granted, once we arrive, leaving one ship off shore, over the horizon to check up on us in a few days certainly sounds wise."

The woman rose and glitter fell off her as she walked over. “You look quite familiar, my dear,” she said. “I’m Elise de Lisandre.” She offered a hand. Silvia could definitely remember her now. She was a fellow songstress who had once (she was fairly sure) bribed a crowd to boo her at a show. Her hair had been dyed Black then but now its natural gold had made her hard to recognize.

“At least you’re still have a set,” she said to the old chap in a kindly voice. She extracted another shard from her hair and laid it gently in one of the cups that was still whole. “It’s Justine de Vair,” she corrected Nigel, meeting his eyes as she got fully to her feet again. “And perhaps it’s time for someone else to have a go. You’ve saturated the market for how long now?” "Thank, dearie. You are most kind." Archimedes smiled at her, taking the pieces and stashing them back into his suitcase. "Well, answering the fair elf lady." Archie said, cleaning his glasses while recomposing himself. "Dr. Archimedes Steller. Explorer, Naturalist and Alchemist. Just a couple of skills I picked up from years venturing in the wilds. Want to know what kind of Mist being awaits for us? Ask me. Want to know what plants or animals are safe to eat? Check my cooking pot. Want to turn into a Stormspires Babbling Llama? I have a option for that. Lost an arm? Pretty sure I can grow it back." "But most importantly..." He cleared his throat. "I make some great tea."

Silvia put her hand into the other woman's. She was almost sure she had first encountered the women under another name but she decided to pretend that she had no idea who she was speaking to. She flashed a grin at the woman. "Silvia Raizer, better known as the Skylark of Bastion. What do you make of all this? Are you tagging along?"

Konrad nodded, "As you say Madam Healer. I can certainly understand the preference for one's own cabin." He smiled. "In that case, if you have a spare room for me and a few of my men, I should be most grateful."

Elise’s eyes widened then. “Ah yes, Silvia dear!” She said with that somewhat exaggerated voice of someone who has to catch their composure. “I hadn’t known you were into such...activities,” she added. “But yes I am here on behalf of the Academy of Sorcerers. They wouldn’t dream of missing out on the knowledge we may glean from this expedition, and the Academy doesn’t always trust my colleague’s,” she tilted her head toward the old Alchemist slightly, “objectivity.”

She pursed her lips, considering. "Of course you're welcome, Konrad, but unfortunately the cabins are a bit cramped; your men would have to sleep with the sailors - in a hammock below or on the open deck. They might be more comfortable on the other ship. But I guarantee that my people would take excellent care of you in their absence."

"I'm sure we can make something work," Konrad said politely, "I am most grateful. What is your ship's name? I believe I shall turn in for the night, as there seems to be little enough to learn here at the present so I shall see you tomorrow on the wharf."

I really cannot comment on what different scholars think about various matters," Silvia said airily. "It's really none of my business." But considering how Elise had once behaved towards her, she was inclined to favour the old man, especially as she had previously seen him in company with the adorable K'rull and his companion. "I'm sure they wanted me to come along so I could write a song about all of this. After all, one cannot allow Thornheart's version of the tale to be the only one," whispered mischievously. More loudly, she added "I can never turn away good fodder for a song and I'm an excellent swordswoman as it happens so you needn't think I'd be dead weight."

"The Tranquility. I couldn't tell you which pier, but she should be easy enough to find. I've got a hotel for the night, but I'll be on board...well, let's not say first thing, but by a civilized hour in the morning." Ceuntinde blew him a kiss. "See you then."

Elise chuckled. “Anyone who lets Thornheart tel their story wants to be a casualty in their own life,” she said. “We’ve made bets on the duration of his partners’ lifespans. No one has ever taken more than a month.” She turned back to Silvia. “But I planned on writing a song as well...so I suppose this means war,” she concluded with a red lipped smile.
