East of Valgard, one can see from the tallest spires of the city the occasional sinuous form rise from the waves and crash back down, as the eponymous monsters fight for mates or territory. Unlike many threats the world faces, the Thousand Serpents existed long before the Mist and seem unfazed by its encroachment towards the ends of the world. Ships sailing from Valgard are advised to set sail at dawn and be passing the Azurian Forest by noon to avoid the savage beasts.
