"What do you do if two people have opposing symbiotes? Are they condemned to avoid each other?"

Ceutinde looked to Justine, curious. "You're speaking very strangely, dear. Are you all right?"

Zavier looked at Justine and then turned back to Herneiros. “I guess it’s like people, you know? They’re more likely to hate each other than the elementals are. My dad’s angel and my mom’s demon fought a few times but they both need the link to the material world and if they go too far there’s a ritual we have to remove them...it’s just exceedingly painful.”

Herneiros looks intently at Justine.
"...would you like some shrimp?"
The message was clear.
I see you.

“Never better,” she said as she leaned in and took Ceutinde’s glass from her. She met Herneiros’ eyes as she drank her second glass of whiskey. Her gaze seemed like it could have bored a hole through him. Slowly, a grin spread across her face. “You look uncomfortable. Is something the matter?”

"I am always comfortable in my own skin. Are you?" He set his drink down and studied her. "Are you... comfortable with us or should I consider making other arrangements? In addition to being a hunter of monsters and banisher of the unnatural, I am a fantastic... masseuse."

She stretched exaggeratedly, arms over her head, arching her back in the chair. “I’m quite comfortable yes.” She leaned in again. “What strange abilities to advertise. Are you coming on to me?”

Herneiros laughed, "I have been told I live very dangerously. It is only inevitable I fall into trap of my own design one day."
He leaned forward though to position his face closer to hers, whispering into her ear. "But is that today, I wonder...?"

He leaned forward though to position his face closer to hers, whispering into her ear. "But is that today, I wonder...?" She turned her head slowly, almost mechanically, side to side; that same grin still stretched across her lips. “I cant think that’s really what you want.” She sat back in her seat, and poured herself more wine. “Besides, it takes far more effort to win me over than that.” “Now, weren’t we listening to the thrilling tale about how this kid failed his entire family?” She raised her glass to Zavier.

"I believe you misunderstood my curiosity as well as the nature of young Zavier's story. Ironically, both revolve around possession by outside forces."
Herneiros stood up to go stand by the railing nearby, watching the stars but still in earshot.

Konrad watched the unfolding back and forth with concern. Perhaps the lady's confinement in that place had not been as... unjust as Konrad had first assumed.
"Justine... are you feeling alright?" he asked, leaning forward and putting his hand on her elbow.

She looked down at Konrad’s hand on her arm and slowly pulled her arm away. “Justine? No. I am Juliette, and I am quite well.” She looked him in the eyes and he could tell there she did not recognize him.

"ah...forgive me," he said, "Do you know where Justine has gone?" he asked. He tried to keep a pleasant and happy demeanor, but inside he seethed. Clearly that bastard "director" and his so-called cures had done more harm than good to the poor girl. The loss of her sister must have caused great damage to her psyche.

Juliette raised one eyebrow and laughed again. “Why are you so interested in Justine?” She looked him over and nodded approvingly. “A man like you...I’m sure you’d like me much better.“

Konrad wasn't quite sure how to respond to that, and so paused, dumbfounded for a moment. It was hard enough to charm one girl when her friend had already taken an interest in you. Even more so when it was her other personality.
"Ah yes of course," he offered, "can I entice you to tell me more about yourself perhaps?"
