After several other rounds of discussion they agree on going in to ambush the Sorcerers, using the same tactic. Korobas front and center stealthing his way up to one of the Wizards for a surprise attack, meanwhile Tehol and Zavier going in with swords to hack and slash, and supposedly Kjell to bring up the rear providing ranged support.

“She floated up and she floated down to pale she was as the water floated down till she washed down shore on the pale muddy banks of Bastion...”Juliette sang another short verse until she paused to speak with Ceutinde. “Itis my very own. Do you like it? In the asylum we had so much time to write little songs like this.” She laughed as she skipped along. “Justine never liked it for some reason.” As they drew nearer the corpses of the wizards, Juliette’s attention was captured. “Ooooh, what’s this?” She made her way over, humming her little tune instead of singing aloud, and crouched down to investigate. Observation 30 Occult 70 Juliette sees the wizard’s ravaged body and the truly copious amounts of blood surrounding it. His staff lay next to him and he had a purse with some coins and trinkets in it, one of them a strange little statue made of white marble. It’s a naked goddess from the waist up but even Juliette doesn’t recognize her. She sees a ring he has bears the symbol of a seldom discussed god named Nymos, who was an ancestral god of the lakes and the Inner Sea which cities were supposedly once built around in Thessali. It had been so long since she’d seen a symbol like it even Juliette couldn’t remember much more about him.

The hydra enters the room and the trio follow. They enter the chamber with the altar and they saw the sorceress in the back about twelve meters away talking to two dwarves armed with handguns. The diminutive gunmen look at the approaching adventurers and one walks to each side of the altar. The sorceress smirked and turned her palm toward the adventurers then wiggles her fingers in a farewell gesture and turned a little hourglass necklace upside down. The three heard a distinctive tick-tock sound a few times and she was gone by the second sounding. “What ye here fer?!” The taller dwarf growled. “This here’s our dagger!”

Herneiros approached the cave. The entrance was dark and he couldn’t hear anything inside.

"We followed the woman." Tehol says cursing under his breath at her departure while pointing to the spot she vanished from.

Caves weren't ideal for archery, so Herneiros switched to his tomahawk before entering it...

He enters the cave quietly. There’s no light to be seen in there, nothing but a black tunnel that takes a hard left after he goes thirty feet or so. He can smell the dust in the air. No one’s been here in years.

With whatever magic he has left, Herneiros enchants the axe head with magical flame so he might see what's around him.

The tunnel is empty until widening into a chamber with six stone sarcophagi staggered as he walks down. Dust an inch thick sits on them and beyond them he sees a small altar with two candles glowing a very dim violet and a small black crystal sitting between the flames, dark as coal but reflective so he can see his visage reflected on its every face. It is hard to tell, but it looks like it turns to match his movements very subtly.

Herneiros makes a silly face at his reflection before turning to examine the sarcophagi. Their employers had said very little about the inhabitants of this island...'

She trailed the fingers of one hand through the blood absently as she studied the items, running her fingers over the statue before tucking it into her pouch. She took the ring as well, and then the coins as an after thought. She turned it in her hands as she walked back to Ceutinde. At last, she slipped it onto her finger on her bloodied hand. “Let’s keep going. The Huntsman is there already.” She pointed.

Herneiros makes a silly face at his reflection before turning to examine the sarcophagi. Their employers had said very little about the inhabitants of this island...' The coffins are made of a slate grey stone and are intricately carved, but it is clear that at the least centuries have passed since they were carved as the finer details are being worn away by the relentless passage of time. They must be enormously heavy but he sees each has a small handle that is presumably used to open them.

Silvia continued to follow Juliette and Ceutinde. She was happy for them to take the lead for the time being.
