"I assume there are some rules? Who can be told, who can be invited, how much the staff can be abused, that sort of thing."

She shrugged. “Hades approves anyone to be invited,” she said. “So best not mention it to anyone without permission. Other than that, we hVe a couple funds we contribute to but if one doesn’t benefit you don’t bother with it. I assume that the way you treat your staff will get you far here in the help’s estimation. You know how some of these people can be.” She took a drink. “Otherwise, enjoy your time, Lady Ceutinde.”

Roxanne’s drink was fruity and light, definitely tropical inspired. She saw a man at a table near the far end of the secondary bar, dressed in extremely flamboyant clothing with a cutlass and a pistol. He looked exactly like a classical depiction of a pirate. Silvia sipped her drink appreciatively. She mostly drank red wine or whisky when she drank alcohol, so it was delightful to have something fruity for a change. "This is lovely," she said to her companions. She glanced over at the pirate. Had she been behaving as herself, nothing short of the apocalypse would have stopped her from sauntering over to the man and engaging him in conversation. But Roxanne was silly and coquettish and not half as bold as Silvia. She wouldn't walk up to a complete stranger without reason. "Who is that gentleman over there?" She asked. "He looks rather...dashing."

Gregori chuckled. “That’s Jean the Seawolf, or so he calls himself. I think he’s something of a blowhard.” He pointed to the water. “Care to dip your toes?”
Jon shook his head. “He’s many things. Inauthentic isn’t one of them,” he said in his deep voice. “He’s taken more prizes than a carnival fanatic.”

Her eyes widened. "That's...interesting." She privately vowed that she was going to find an excuse to talk to the pirate, maybe more than talk to him. "I know nothing of prizes but I have to admit, I have a particular appreciation for the gentleman's fashion sense."
She smiled at Gregori. "I would love to take a walk in the shallows. You'll forgive me for the immodesty of having to lift up my skirts a way, of course, but I didn't come prepared for spending time in the water."

Gregori probably wouldn’t mind that. “There’s a changing room in the main bar if you require more appropriate clothing for the weather,” he said. “Marilyn keeps it well stocked. You’re hardly the first dressed for Bastion then brought to a paradise.” Jean got up from where he was and headed towards the main bar as well, his jewelry noisily clanking as he walked.

"I'll go and take a look," she said. "I hope there are separate facilities for ladies and gentlemen?" She took another couple of sips of her drink then stood.

Gregori grinned. “Of course. What do you want me to order while you’re away?” Roxanne saw Robert and his wife arriving, the merchant in much more casual clothing than he had had earlier. His wife looked at Roxanne with interest but headed to take a seat without saying anything.

"Um..." She pretended to think for a moment. She was still dubious about drinking too much in a strange place. "Orange juice would be lovely, thank you." She batted her eyelashes at him then went to the bar and asked for the changing area.

The woman behind the bar is probably a half-elf, taller than most women but not so much as Ceutinde and with darker skin than most elves ever get to. “Welcome darling,” she said in a chirpy sort of voice. “Dressing room is right behind me, go ahead and take your pick of clothes! Don’t hesitate to ask for anything, my name’s Marilyn,@ she said.

"Thank you. I'm Roxanne." She smiled warmly and stepped into the room, looking around to see what kind of beach attire they had.

She sees an assortment of wraps and undergarments built for opacity so that they wouldn’t show off too much if they wet. She has a collection if options that range in colors from red to orange to blue to muted greys and tan. There’s sun hats and more in the changing room which doesn’t have stalls but is also empty at the moment.

She looked at them all and chose a black set of undergarments, fairly modest but form-fitting. Over that she threw a flimsy scarlet wrap and then she chose a pale, wide-brimmed hat decorated with red and yellow flowers. After changing into the outfit, she put on the hat and pulled the wrap around her torso then headed back out to join the men. As she headed towards them, she looked for the pirate and shot him a coquettish smile if he was present.

He’s near the exit as she leaves and when she smiles at him he tries to wave her over. “Share a drink with a real scalawag?” He asked. He had no problem openly admiring her in the bathing wear.

"By your leave, of course, Madame Cerberus."
