Jon shrugged and offered her an arm to walk in with if she chose. “Well perhaps,” he said. “But it succeeds at impressing most people who are on the fence about how serious The organization is. First impressions are lasting impressions and all.”
Being experienced in stealth, Silvia noticed that the wandering servers all had space for concealed weapons on their person.

"True enough," She answered, taking the offered arm, "Though I must say, I was expecting something much more sinister. Windowless basement, everyone in masks, perhaps some bound demons."

"Yes, I was expecting a grand old house with gargoyles." Silvia giggled. "This is so much prettier. I would love to soak my feet in the sea for a few minutes."

“The only binding here is for entertainment,” Jon said. “We’re merchants, not thieves, we’ve no need to cower in dark, dank little corners.” Gregori listened to Roxanne and motioned to the sea. “The water’s much warmer here,” he said. “Most of us spend some time relaxing in it. You look like you get a lot of time in the sun,” he added.

"Oh, definitely," she said. "I love spending time at the beach. It does look lovely here."

"She's always had a gorgeous complexion. So lucky, while I burn at the slightest suggestion of sunshine. Really should have brought a parasol."

A woman dressed in a very thin dress approached them, holding a coconut shell with some sort of cocktail made in it. “Cerberus is ready to see the newcomers,” she told them. She held a second coconut drink out to the girls. “One of you drinks out here, the other ones talks in there. Any volunteers?”

Ceutinde glanced at Silvia before replying. "I'm certainly open to a chat. Lead the way."

The woman led her off to the smaller of the three main buildings. She stood aside as she opened the door to a large, mostly empty room, where a severe looking woman in her forties is sitting behind a table. She gestured for Ceutinde to take a seat. “Hello,” she said in a surprisingly pleasant voice. “I trust your ride was pleasantly uneventful?”

"Hello," Ceutinde replied as she sat down in the offered chair, "Yes, thank you, though climbing into a windowless carriage bound for a destination unknown does provide a certain baseline level of theatrics."

The woman’s thin lips curled into a smile. “A baseline level of theatrics,” she repeated. “Not the worst review we have received,” she said. “I apologize for the over the top things. Rival guilds and other less desirable organizations would love to have access to our operations. I confess I was surprised Despennian of all people was able to get you here,” she admitted. “Or maybe it was Robert. No matter. Everyone here has two priorities. Expanding their businesses and entertainment. Stay inside those lanes and you’ll find everything to your liking I think. It will be tough to entertain a legend of the business but we relish the challenge.”
Roxanne’s drink was fruity and light, definitely tropical inspired. She saw a man at a table near the far end of the secondary bar, dressed in extremely flamboyant clothing with a cutlass and a pistol. He looked exactly like a classical depiction of a pirate.

"I look forward to it." She replied, her own face settling on a rather cold smirk. "Though if I am such a legend, it could certainly be perceived as a slight that I was only invited thanks to a chance meeting with a vague acquaintance."

Cerberus smiled just a bit. “That could be perceived as an offense. It could also be perceived as a credit to your personal security. It’s hard to get information on someone with your caliber of friends. Hades finally decided to just accept the risk because, and I quote ‘she’s worth it.’” The old woman moistened her lips. “Personally I hate taking shortcuts but we all answer to someone, right?”

"God or man, there's always somebody. I assume Hades is the proprietor?"

The woman nodded. “He owns the grounds we’re on,” she confirmed. “Started it with myself and a few others. That’s all I have need of,” she said. It was a curiously short interrogation. “Are there any questions I can answer for you?”
