She frowned. Magic and Mistlords were beyond her realm of knowledge. "I'd like to hear about the House of the Sun, if you're willing to talk about it. I'm not magical so you needn't worry I'll do something nefarious with the knowledge. Besides, it might be useful to our mission."

Her grin widened. “Wrong!” “You aren’t as perceptive as you think, my friend, and now I get to do what I want with you...” She stood on tiptoe and kissed him on the mouth. “Your turn. And be honest.” Konrad found himself so nervous he almost didn’t take time to enjoy the kiss. Almost. “Ah....” he said, nervously. “I suppose you are the only true judge,” he said helpfully. “But there is nothing sane or ordinary about your kiss, so I remain skeptical.” He grinned to show that he meant only a compliment. “Very well. I shall offer you this, true or false, I did not kiss my first girl until I was twenty-two and in college.” He chuckled, “If you need collect more evidence first, you may.”

“You doubt my word, but you liked that.” Juliette laughed her sharp, loud laugh again and considered him for a moment. “I think that’s true, though I don’t know why one of them didn’t just kiss you first. Well?”

I think I'd rather not know what some strange people are doing." She watched Ceutinde. "That's strange. I hope nothing's wrong."

Once it became clear nothing was attacking them and the commotion was - she assumed - drunken infighting, Kjell turned to the abandoned table and picked up a bottle of whiskey. Might as well stay and wait to see if Odyssey also offered fireworks at midnight. "Humans," she said with a roll of her eyes when she got back to the railing, and took a swig. "Shit. That's pretty good," she said, inspecting the bottle before drinking some more and then offered it to Herneiros.
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw their healer get on a boat and head over, but figured she knew what she was doing.

“I usually use it to go back to home,” Zavier said. “Lots of good memories there, you know? Like when my sisters were little. Sometimes even a memory is better than nothing at all, you know? Like you can touch and smell and hear with this even if it isn’t quite real.” He grinned. “It does other stuff too but that’s probably enough for tonight.”
Kjell, as the least distracted member of the whole cruise, feels a faint but regular vibration coming from the deck of the ship. It’s quite odd but doesn’t seem to be changing in strength or frequency at all. It is like a bass drum somewhere far below is beating.

She looked down at the floorboards for a moment. "Do you feel that?" She gave the rest of the deck a once-over and then studied the dark water.

She handed the bauble back with a pang of regret. "Thank you for showing it to me, anyway," she said. "I hope you will let me borrow it again one day." Then she frowned as a thought occurred to her. "Can you share memories with it? Could I see your memories, or you see mine?"

Herneiros took a swig before directing his attention to follow her gaze. "Hmm?"

He laughed, “Nay, I was twelve,” he answered, still chuckling, “the girls would simply not leave me alone, it has been a blessing or curse, I suppose depending on how you look at it,.“

Now what do you wish to do to me?” She smirked and looked at him with an expression that seemed to say she had invited the penalty.

Herneiros doesn’t see anything, but after a bit he feels the low beat too. The waves are choppy enough to now show any sort of hints of what could be under the water.
Zavier nodded. “We can use it together but it can get fairly awkward. Sometimes if you use it as a pair your memories sort of..bleed into each other’s. And you’ve got some memories I’m sure you don’t want me experiencing,” he laughed.

He bit his lip and thought. There were many answers to that question, none of which reflected well upon his character. He could hear his father’s warning in his ear, and ignored it. He reached up and removed her vest and ran his hands over her freely as he did so. “And now it is your turn.”

"I hear it..." Herneiros didn't like it.
"Collect your stuff and keep it close. We may have to abandon ship..."
Fortunately, Herneiros kept his baggage on deck and prepared his bow and quiver.
