"What?! No no no..." Archie scrambled to his feet and tried to position himself between Kjell and the prisoner. "Pardon me, ma'am. But I cross the line at executing prisoners. Especially since she is defenseless, and was just a hired gun of our true foe." Kjell looked down at the old man, a little surprised by the interjection. “Last time I let a defenseless prisoner go, he came back and put two bullets in my side,” she said. “Even if this one is different... her employer knows powerful divination magic. Do you really want to leave him the opportunity to spy on us through her?” She then looked at the woman as she pleaded and cocked the gun. “And this is just a job for me.”

Tehol yawns on the other side of the fire and stretches out before leaning back on a demolished piece of wall closing his eyes to get some rest.

"We can blindfold her..." Archie retorted, even though that was a very compelling argument. "And we leave her here, it's not like she can go far."

“Someone signal Captain Demeter that is is safe to dock the Odyssey and unload the rest of the provisions, namely my artillery,” Nigel suggested, this having just been step one of their expedition. They would need all the firepower they could muster to deal with the blade demons and a narrow bridge was as good a firing lane as he could ask for.
He looked around the town for the best building to fortify as an expedition HQ and base camp before they proceeded forward to the next objective.
(Fortifications 20 if necessary)
Nigel placed a hand in Kjell’s shoulder, the most appropriately he had touched a woman all voyage.
“The Mighty Thornhearts are the bulwark between man and monsters. Sometimes the most arduous battle of all is remembering the difference.”

Nigel sees one old house had a stone foundation that led all the way to the ground which made it much sturdier than the others, and it had the space to hold everyone inside even if they wouldn’t have the most space ever.
As he inspects its suitability the first rays of dawn begin shining from the East.

Herneiros turned to Thornheart. "Hmmm... Do you think there's a room somewhere we can keep our guest here occupied?"
As he could walk through walls and lived most of his life in the wilderness, he really knew nothing of cells.

Ceutinde followed Justine down the stairs, doing her best to place the odd smell. However, much like stealth, she hadn't put any points in observation.

Kjell looked to Nigel and, quite possibly misunderstanding the intent of his words, nodded solemnly. She turned back to the woman and shot her in the head.

Elise just rolled her eyes. Justine crept down the stairs and reached the bottom, her own breath and beating heart the only sounds for now, but she does notice a particular smell, like some sort of incense burning. It’s stronger the farther down she goes. When she reached the blue light she was in a narrow hallway that had two closed doors, one on each side, before opening up fifteen or so feet down into a hold or galley. She paused there until the other two had joined her, all the while inhaling the heady smell of incense. Mentally, she flipped a coin. Left or right; heads or tails? She turned left and motioned for them to follow. She crept along and pressed her ear against the door, listening.

Kjell looked to Nigel and, quite possibly misunderstanding the intent of his words, nodded solemnly. She turned back to the woman and shot her in the head. The mercenary’s head snaps back as the shot enters her forehead and exits out the left temple, her face turning as though she could dodge the approach of death like it was a splash of water. It’s a savage but swift death. Zavier looked down at his piece of dried meat he was eating then shrugged and went back to gnawing it.

Justine and Ceutinde hear the creak of timber and the crashing of waves, but as she pressed her ear against the door Justine heard a soft voice whispering. It didn’t seem to be coming from the room so much as inside her own head, like when she and her sister had played back in the asylum.
Ceutinde feels an old voice inside her own head, the whispers of her late husband bouncing around inside her skull like an echo she had to strain to hear. For the moment neither hear any discernible words but the tone and pitch are undeniable.

Herneiros looked at the dead body solemnly, slightly saddened that he couldn't think of a way to spare the mercenary's life. So he said a generously phrased prayer in Elven before tossing the remains in the sea.

Seeing as Herneiros beat her to the 'funeral rites', Kjell reloaded her gun, both barrels this time, her gaze following the huntsman until he dropped the corpse.
After holstering the gun, she turned around and walked over to the rest of party. "Should we go after the others, investigate the ship?" she asked after registering that in addition to the swashbuckler and the healer, one of the sorcerers was also not present. "Not exactly the reconnaissance team I'd have sent."

"Do you hear something?" Ceutinde whispered, looking between Justine and Elise, "Like the murmurs of a ghost? I swear it...it sounds like someone who's been dead for years."

Justine’s face went white. “It sounds like...my sister...” She backed away from the door, fighting the urge to flee. “Do we open it?” She looked to Elise questioningly.
