"Nearly only counts in horseshoes and grenados!"Nigel declared, before dipping Justine and giving her a hard kiss on the mouth, ensuring she got a proper taste of a man's tonsils.
Upon hearing the news of the two comrades left behind enemy lines and seeing the flubber dissipate, Nigel drew his sword and shield. The Adventurer Extraordinaire left no man behind...or at least no comely maid...at least not one he had yet to bed.
"Mighty Thornhearts! Forward!" he yelled, leaping to the dock and leading the counter charge to rescue Kjell and Damien. "HUZZAH!!!"
(Intimdation 40 for any pirates in his path)

The pirates have retreated up the rock and seem to be taking stock of their losses. Their original ambush plan had failed and a dozen of their men were dead and they’d only managed a few wounds. They’re clearly going to have to change tactics seeing as it is unlikely the adventurers they tried to betray are going to suddenly forgive them now.
Nigel and company rush to the west to try helping Kjell and Damien...really just Kjell. They’ll arrive in two rounds

Tehol follows because he realizes that Damien is one of those left behind and the man is a friend.

Justine looked a little stunned after the surprise kiss. Perhaps it was another side effect of one of Nigel’s virility spells. There was no way to know but she was pretty sure he had a tongue like an electric eel.
When she had ordered herself again, she looked at her comrades. “Now what?” she asked, cheeks still pink. The pirates had fallen back and there was no one to man the best cannon and the ship still bucked wildly under their feet in the storm.

Konrad yelled to Justine something she couldn’t hear over the sound of the storm, but a mediocre lip reader might suggest he’d said, “I bare to fraud I’m Gonna Bird-her him!”
He followed the geriatric soldier upwards towards their comrades.

Justine took a few steps after Konrad and Nigel and the beastman...but gave up. They still needed fighting people on the ship.
She turned to Ceutinde and leaned in to speak -or yell- into her ear. "You ought to get down below. We'll need your services when they get back most likely."

Post by Dr. Archimedes Steller on Jul 15, 2020 1:27:20 GMT
Feeling a strange mix of relief and sorrow, Archie stared at the remains of Flubber frozen in time. It was a strange thing what he felt right now. On one hand, it had been a massive blob of death from Hell; on the other, as it grew and gained sentience, Archie could actually feel some kind of compassion towards the thing. A whole lifetime in a brief span of minutes, so much, so fast. He felt sick, unsure he would ever be able to use the Flubber once again.
"Oh..." He snapped out of his thoughts, realizing the danger had been pushed back but they soon would be back. And, of course, he was in the middle of a raging tropical storm. "Ship ship ship ship."
He collected a piece of ooze covered scrap and ran his way back to the ship.

Nigel, Tehol and Konrad rush back towards Kjell and Damien as the elven sniper finished off the serpent. The two wizards are farther up the dangerously flimsy ramp and have had to put their own backs up to the rock face to try getting stable enough to cast spells. Kjell’s right leg is bleeding but Damien is clearly in real trouble as he has teeth marks on both sides of his torso. Nigel usually has to pay triple for that sort of action.
Archimedes fathered the material and stuffs it into a glass bottle so it doesn’t accidentally eat the ship. It smells curiously like honey. The rain is coming down so hard now that even flat surfaces are treacherous as the wind blows.
Any character or descending a ramp has a 10% chance per round of falling.

Tehol not bothering with even pretending to hear the man, reaches out with his mind to urge Korabas to try and make it's way to the wizards spot to take them out.

Nigel sheathed his sword and shield to pick up each of the wounded party members over each shoulder, not bother to wait for argument.
“Never fear! Nigel Thornheart is here!” he assured them as he attempted to heroically make his way down to the ships carrying two people buffeted by the wind and rain. Archie’s intern better be fucking getting an illustration of this for the book. He felt very grateful he has taken that dose of Adventurer’s Musk.

Such hot blood... Tehol felt Korabas’s nose pick up the mammals’ scents as it slithered around the ropes holding the ramp up, it’s strange build giving it incredible balance in uncertain footing. Its heads can bite into the wood to ensure proper grip and it moves quickly and surely through the storm damaged boardwalks toward the spellcasters, who are readying something nefarious for the retreating party.
Korabas: 159/89/117/131 Grey cloak: 89/92
Korabas in the dark storm is nearly impossible to see but his powerful night vision and sense of smell make him an apex ambish predator. His powerful central head smashed through a board and his smaller heads seek purchase on one of the spellcasters and three sink their teeth into him. The other wizard retreats back in panic but slipped and fell hard, barely catching himself on the railing.
Wizard takes 39 damage Korabas +3 to rolls next round
Meanwhile, the others take Damien down. The going is incredibly treacherous and two rounds are required to descend.
Nigel: 82 Damien: 19 Konrad: 67 Tehol: 22
All four of the movers manage to keep their footing this round.

Damien falls down atop of the jewel holding his wounds. “Curse the Lady Luck. It was supposed to attack you.” He yelled at Kjell. “You look much more appetizing then myself. I am just stringy muscle.” He cursed and without even thinking about slipped the jewel into his pocket. “I think I am going to die.” “I told you to get out of here,” she said as she rushed over once the coast was relatively clean. “Hold on!” She helped him up and handed him over to Nigel when the rescue party got there. Once they were out of the building, she reloaded her arquebus to take another shot at the wizards through the window to cover the party’s getaway. The sight of the hydra gave her pause. She didn’t know why it was there, but oh how the turntables. She aimed at the wizard that wasn’t currently being mauled on.

"You ought to get down below. We'll need your services when they get back most likely." Ceutinde nodded reluctantly, and yelled in reply, "I'd rather go with them, but you're probably right." She dithered for a moment, wanting to say something but not knowing what, before heading down the ladderwell. She peeled off her soaked cloak, hung it somewhere to dry, and paced back and forth as much as was possible in the tiny, rocking cabin.
