"Hrmmm..." Herneiros scratched his beard, wondering if he can kill it. "Never saw anything like that in the Mist... could be friends of our enemies..." He looked at the others, wondering if they had ever seen anything like that before. "Shit," said Kjell. "I saw the same thing earlier in the crow's nest. Wasn't sure if I'd imagined it." "How were the ambushers positioned, did you see a way to get to higher ground and take them by surprise?" she asked Tehol.

Silvia listened to what the others were saying. It was something about a ship, in the sky? That struck her as odd yet thrilling. She had been growing bored with all talk and no action but now she perked up and actually paid attention to the conversation. She didn't comment, not yet, but she wanted to hear what Tehol said in response to Kjell's questions.

“They are embedded in several of the valleys between those foothills.” He says pointing towards them, “Some are heavily armed, even saw a couple guns rivaling Little Nigel. Maybe if we stayed low and went around their hills we would be able to get past them.”

“I don’t know if this party is capable of a stealthy approach,” she replied, looking pointedly at Nigel. “How many did you say there were? Perhaps we could pick them off from a distance.”

Everything in the locker is radiating magic, and the walls, the floor, and the bed. The necklace is enchanted with some form of divination magic. "Everything in here's glowing, too. The necklace is enchanted, but it's divination...be a bit odd for a curse." Ceutinde picked it up, gingerly. "Well, I can say with some confidence it's not going to slice your throat or strangle you. But I'd like to see if anyone else can figure out what it does do, first." “In that case, I’ll wait. What’s on it...a woman’s face? Interesting.” Justine went to the door and peered out. “Want to head to the next room?” She asked, as she began heading toward he next room.

Ceutinde tucked the necklace in her medical bag. "Let's." She started for the door but stopped herself, a quizzical look on her face. "But the whispering started when we got close to the door. It stands to reason that something in here is causing it." She pulled the necklace back out. "We know the necklace and the music box are both magical. You keep the one, I keep the other, let's go up on deck and walk apart until one of us can't hear it anymore."

Justine paused just outside the door. “You’re right. We should do that.” She started back up to the deck, seeing if the whispers followed her.

The whispers stop as they head back up the stairs.

Justine turned around the moment her head cleared. “I think it’s something to do with the ship in general. Let’s keep searching.” She went to the next door and pressed her ear against it to see if she heard anything other than whispers behind it.

"That's a good idea," Silvia said. She had a feeling that everyone except Nigel would be able to act in a stealthy fashion, should the need arise, but it made sense for someone to look around first. "It will be good to have a better idea of what we're facing."

There was dead silence on the ship for a long moment, but then Justine hears a very odd sound. It sounds like wood being twisted and warped and cracking together and it’s coming from all over the ship. Elise frowned and pointed to the galley in front of them. “The holes are sealing back up...” she tilted her head slightly in wonder as the wooden planks and splinters began reforming into solid pieces.

“Yeah, lets go. I can lead you to them for us to scout out.” He says before heading out in the direction of the hills and encamped troops.

Silvia turned to Kjell and Nigel. "Looks they left the best shots behind so hopefully they'll have the good sense to stay out of range."
