From the back of the party, screaming like a madman, Archimedes ran towards the front carrying a wide assortment of flasks and vials on his hand. He had fallen back from the party when he decided to study a beautiful purple butterfly he saw on their track, then had to catch up when he started hearing the commotion.

"Take this, you foul arachnid!" The old man said, hurling a fire grenado at one of the enemies.

"Anyone needs some refreshment?" The professor said, taking his place in the formation beside his companions.

Nigel took two steps forward into his heroic charge, stopped dead in his tracks as he realized the immense size of the monstrosity, then did an about face and sprinted back to Little Nigel.

The Mists around the beast shimmer green and white and purple and a strange matrix-like pattern flickers over the beast and shatters. There’s no visible effect but the beast reels back uncertainly as the mouth on its thorax begins glowing red and Mist pours into its maw with increasing speed.

Kjell: 182 (+30 situation bonus to roll)

The Sniper literally cannot miss the massive beast and her shot affects the creature much more than Nigel had ever seen in his decades of warfare. Usually there’s a force of some sort that blunts the impact of bullet and blade on their carapace but for now everything seems to go through unimpeded.

The swashbuckling songbird rushes in as the beast reeled back and her swords hacked and slashed one of its legs as she spun around it. It is fast when it moves along the ground, however once under its thorax its legs aren’t designed to bend that specific way and so she’s relatively safe...until whatever its maw is charging is done anyway. She successfully disabled a leg and black ichor floods out of it.

Little Nigel belched out fire as a cannonball fired, and his aim is true. The ball smashed into one of the red eyes and burst through its lower thorax on its exit. An unearthly scream echoed across the valley as the Mist gathering inside its maw hit a critical mass...

Yelling her triumph to the world, Silvia decided to attack the next leg on the same side. Her theory was that if she kept attacking the legs on one side, the monstrous spider would topple over.

“Careful, I’ve been told it stings when my cannon goes off in the eyes. Aha!” Nigel quipped, for no one in particular. It would be a good zinger for the book. He reloaded to finish off the beast.

Ceutinde took a deep breath after putting out the flames on Elise, and turned to face the spider-thing. There was a spell in her repertoire that she'd never actually had cause to use before. But, knowing that it was something like this that had destroyed Lilomeon's mind, it seemed the right time to pull it out. She spoke the words of an ancient curse, calling down the wrath of the heavens.

Tehol through his mind connection with Korabas knows that the female wizard left the area heading North Easterly. Looking around he see's Kjell severely out of formation, "You going Mage hunting with us?" He yells at her over the noise before heading towards Korabas towards the northeast

Herneiros quickly enchants a few fire arrows before letting the first fly at the creature.

Sylveria only answered in times of particular need, and as stated Ceutinde had never been in a situation worth invoking the power of the elves’ goddess. Her moon, seldom visible during the day, twinkled silver in the Mist covered skies, its light cutting through the haze. Everyone for miles heard a strange sound like a thousand voices in chorus as a robed woman wielding a sword followed the beam like it was a bridge at incredible speeds. Her blade stabs the spider and severed a leg. The woman vanished as soon as she had appeared and her sword sent a greenish lightning bolt to everyone who had been injured and their worst injuries were suddenly made whole.

Kjell stared at the figure of light, mesmerised for a moment, and instinctively closed her eyes when a bolt of the light flew her way. Once she realised it had healed her instead of causing collateral damage, she raised her hand in thanks to the healer on the hill.

She then looked from the rest of the party to Tehol and decided the beastmaster seemed worse off, especially as the spider was shot to shit already. “Wait up!” she called as she broke into a run after Tehol, not even limping anymore.

Thalia was clearly preparing something and just like she did with the buildings she tried to create a vacuum, but this time inside the body of the spider, starting small, but making it bigger and bigger to attempt to explode it.

Thalia can’t exactly create a true vacuum, but she is able to use the cavity in the beast caused by Little Nigel to force air into its guts and cause massive internal damage.

Tehol, Kjell, Zavier and Korabas head towards the north where they believed the sorceress had fled. They sprint a quarter mile or so then come across a cave that the hydra peers intently.
