A dozen men’s swords clatter to the ground simultaneously. It causes considerable disorder as the sailors and hydra don’t see a reason for quarter. Even the navigator Zavier takes afldvantage of the confusion to gut someone.

The surviving pirates flew down the ramp towards their three ships. They don’t get paid enough to get slaughtered like that.

"They planned it. Rape and plunder!"
Justine struggled against the ice, a bit furious that the mage had made it up and she could not. She tried again, gritting her teeth as she tried to pull herself up the slick ramp.

A sailor tossed her a rope and helped pull her up to the battle which is descending into a simple slaughter now.

Thalia waited until the pirates got to their ships then tried to set fire to the rain and set all their ships on fire with them in, when the time was right,

Kjell dislodged her axe from the woman's face, not paying much mind to the stream of blood it sent her way. There were already pieces of someone's brain in her hair anyway, the rain would likely take care of it. It was basically a free bath.
She turned to the nearest pirate and hacked away. Rinse and repeat.
The last time she'd accepted someone's surrender, she'd gotten shot, so that mistake was not getting repeated again.

Fortunately, slaughter was one of Justine's favorite pastimes. She clapped the sailor who had hauled her up on the shoulder and drew her blades. Then she set to work.
One Handed 80 Small Blades 80 (Bloodbath: if Justine hits with her main weapon and her secondary weapon in the same round, she gains an extra attack.)

"Alright everyone, I think they have had quite enough," Nigel insisted, as his comrades began executing captives, for once the voice of reason. "There is no glory in slaying the unarmed. After all, someone has to survive to spread the legend of the Mighty Thornhearts."

Was it the storm or the rushing of blood in her ears that caused Nigel's words to go unheard? That question would probably never be answered as Justine kept moving forward to taste blood again.

Kjell couldn't hear Nigel unfortunately, the music wind was too loud.
She did, however, upon closer inspection notice that the pirate nearest to her had dropped his weapon and so she kicked it over with her hole-riddled foot. "Pick it up!" she shouted, and waited for him to do so before charging.

Nigel attempted to grab Kjell and Justine by the back of their collars and yank them back.
"I said that's enough!" he bellowed, magically enhanced voice howling over the storm. "You, get down to the healer," he motioned to Kjell, sounding his age for once, at least for a moment. "If you need someone to suck the poison out, let me know, but I expect you to return the favor. Aha!"
"And you," he pointed at Justine, his tone stern. "This is conduct unbefitting of a Mighty Thornheart!"

Konrad had managed to recover his sword (a jewel encrusted 18th birthday present from his sainted mother) only to find the battle was at an end. “Did any of the wizards survive?” He asked as he moved through the slain and the wounded looking for a wizard to interrogate.

With her chest heaving and hands aching to be bloodied again, Justine yelped as Nigel pulled her away from the last few pirates who were cowering, waiting to be slaughtered. She looked at him with wild eyes and struggled against his grasp. "I'm showing them the same mercy they offered to us. Let me finish what they started!"

More on instinct than anything else, Kjell elbowed Nigel in the face immediately when she felt the tug on her collar, convinced it was another pirate. “What the fuck, man?!” she shouted once she’d turned around and seen who it was.

“It’s done!” he declared sternly as Justine threw a murder tantrum. “It’s moments like these that separate the heroes from the brigands. Be legendary!”
“Bloody hell, not the money maker!” he howled as Kjell elbowed him in the face. No one wanted a crooked nose on their book cover. “Get down to the medic,” he repeated. “When the adrenaline wears off you’re going to feel that and be of no use to us.”
