Herneiros quickires an arrow in elven fashion, aiming for the eye.

Nigel manned Little Nigel and took aim at the bat-like monstrosity. "We have other concerns at the moment!"

Herneiros: 162/129 Nigel: 76 Kjell: 180 Justine: 109
The beast rapidly clambers toward the party in an unpredictable pattern, it’s large black eyes glittering as it bounces from side to side like a parkour expert on cocaine, and Little Nigel misses the mark as the shot flies back into the chamber. Ironically, even the miss does a ton of damage to the beast as the deafening sound overwhelms its senses. It slows down a second and Herneiros puts two arrows into its face, while Kjell is able to take a moment and unleash a perfect shot directly into its left eye. The bulb explodes with the force of the hit and ichor spews out, sizzling as it hits the stone floor like it’s boiling. It screams in pain and begins turning in a circle to try to collect itself.
As it thrashed about, Thalia pointed her index finger in the air and casually twirled it in a circle. A wide ring of flames emerged around the beast, trapping it inside. They all smell chlorine when the flames touch its poisonous blood.
The beast takes 38 normal damage and 34 mortal.
Players can move forward to continue the fight or just try exiting.

Nigel reloaded the cannon and fired another round shot, having no desire for a monstrous back at their rear as they attempted to retreat across the bridge.

It occurs to Herneiros he is attempting to blind a fucking bat and instead aims for the throat, if only to silence that shrieking sound.

“Let’s just leave,” Thalia suggested as she trapped the creature, looking at the other ready to fight, I thought they were on a time limit,
They didn’t look like they wanted to move she growled and as well as the cage tried to raise the earth to pierce the creatures wings and it’s body by forcing up stalagmites from the ground.

Nigel: 133 Herneiros: 155/133 Thalia: 147
The roar of Little Nigel continues its quest to give everyone tinnitus as the cannon ball blasts a hole through the beast’s wing, tearing it right off. Herneiros’s arrows cut into its throat and a stalagmite impaled its foot. It reels in pain and the ring around it sets its blood on fire. It’s clearly in its death throes. The party easily manages to exit the building.

Silvia spotted other members of the party leaving the building. She felt relieved to see them as she walked over to join them.

"Silvia, what happened!? Is that broken?" Ceutinde exclaimed when she saw the battered bard and her arm, falling in beside her. "Thank the gods you're still moving. I need to set that as soon as we can stop. Is there anything else that's serious?"

Of all the party members, Ceutinde was the one Silvia most wanted to see. She smiled slightly in her relief. "Yes, it's broken. The rest of it is just bruises. I've had my fill of those before, so I'm not concerned, but I'm well aware that this arm will give me trouble for a while. I'd be grateful for your assistance."

"Huzzah!" Nigel exclaimed as the fell bat was slain.
He winced as he took a look of Silvia's battered condition. She looked in no state for victory celebrations.
"Well fought, Mighty Thornhearts! A job well done!" he commended the team. "Now let's get back to the ship."
He led the party down the bridge, singing loud marching songs the entire way, one of which was the theme song to his fan club The Thornhearties:
Who's the dashing reclaimer That fights for you and me T-H-O-R-N-H-E-A-R-T
Thornheart! Thornheart! Forever let us hold his banner high! High! High! High! High!
Come along and sing the song And join the reclaiming T-H-O-R-N-H-E-A-R-T
Nigel Thornheart Nigel Thornheart He'll have fun He'll meet new faces
He'll do things And he'll go places All around the world He's marching
Who's the dashing reclaimer That fights for you and me T-H-O-R-N-H-E-A-R-T
Huzzah!

Herneiros stepped closer to Silvia and inspected the injury with a critical eye. "Is there anything I can carry for you? I am afraid I am not the healer Lady Ceutinde is..."
