Ceutinde scoffed before replying playfully. "You haven't had me see to you before. You'll be playing a lute and swinging a sword before you know it. Giving Herneiros a little celebratory hand as well. I'll touch it with magic as well, but best if I can treat it mundanely to start."

Tehol walks back to the ship still idly playing with the supposedly now defunct dagger.

Herneiros stepped closer to Silvia and inspected the injury with a critical eye. "Is there anything I can carry for you? I am afraid I am not the healer Lady Ceutinde is..." The wild man's kindness was much appreciated. Silvia smiled at Herneiros. She wasn't the type to refuse help when it was offered. "You could carry my weapons, if you're willing. I expect I'll be more comfortable walking back to the ship if I don't need to deal with the weight of my sword for a little while. I know my belongings will be safe with you, and you#d have my gratitude as well." She gave him a cheeky wink. Ceutinde scoffed before replying playfully. "You haven't had me see to you before. You'll be playing a lute and swinging a sword before you know it. Giving Herneiros a little celebratory hand as well. I'll touch it with magic as well, but best if I can treat it mundanely to start." She turned her smile on Ceutinde. "I am happy to place myself in your hands, Ceutinde. There is nobody I would trust more to help me heal. I have to admit, that the prospect of being inactive isn't one that appeals to me. Is it all done then? Did we get what we came for?"

The party reunited and crossed the bridge as they saw a small orange dot high in the sky. It got larger and larger as they moved out and before they’ve made it half a mile the meteorite or whatever it was had the look of a fireball. It smashed right through the roof of the gigantic structure and detonated, sending a shockwave across the island. It’s only stopped by a circular green shield that keeps the adventurers from being vaporized.
About forty five seconds later the dust is still settling. Nothing except a giant black hole in the ground remains of the temple. In the distance they all see a gargantuan dragon approaching like a typhoon from the south. It’s easily five hundred feet long, with four wings on each side that flap in a pattern to keep it level in flight. Her scales are sapphire blue on the bottom and transition slowly to emerald green on the top, and her gigantic head is crowned by spikes tht jut out six or seven feet. She shrinks as she finished her approach until she lands as an elf with bright blue skin and green hair. Zavier introduces her a bit anticlimactically. “Well, uh, this is Searshe,” he said. “If you couldn’t tell.”

Ceutinde started to reply, before the disappearance of the temple and appearance of the dragon stole her words away.

Nigel did not turn back to look at the explosion. Legends never looked back.
He found himself torn between loading his cannon and trying to fuck a dragon.
He stepped forward and offered his hand. “Nigel Thornheart, Adventurer Extraordinaire, and the legendary Mighty Thornhearts at your service.”

Silvia gaped as Searshe arrived. She wasn't sure what impressed her the most, the fact that she was now actually in the presence of a dragon, or the transformation from dragon to elf. The blue skin and green hair was strange, of course, but it had been a day of strange events. It was hard to be shocked by blue skin when she had just seen a dragon approach.
"Wow," she whispered to Ceutinde and Herneiros. "What a day. But we shouldn't let Nigel get all the glory. Come on."
She strode forward and performed a shallow bow, clutching her wounded arm with her other hand to avoid jarring it. "My lady," she said. "Silvia Raizer, at your service."

The elf shook Nigel’s hand after tapping her forehead with her forefinger, then nodded to Silvia. “Your exploits are well familiar to me, the both of yours,” she said in a voice that was just a tad too loud for normal people to be comfortable with. Clearly she didn’t do this often. “I appreciate the risks you all took in accepting my contract.” She looked to Zavier and he showed her the eggs. She let out a sigh of relief then continued. “You’ve all done me a great service. I shall not forget it.”

Herneiros took Silvia's weapons as promised, then stood close by as everyone crowded the dragon's human form. There was a distinct sense of awe, but it was dulled by recent revelations and his vast experience with strange creatures.
The Wild Huntsman was silent as he observed her interact with others, and would wait hus turn.

Silvia smiled despite her pain. "I hope we will have a chance to talk, my lady, but I fear I have more immediate concerns. I had a mishap, as I'm sure you can see." She turned to Ceutinde. "I'm ready whenever you are."

“Well I have some ideas on how you can express your gratitude while I have you Nigel sized. Aha!” He shamelessly winked at the dragon and flashed a dazzling smile. “After all, while the Mighty Thornhearts make any adventure appear trifling, I assure you it was a harrowing affair for any mere mortal.”

The dragon didn’t understand any of what he meant until the end. She blinked twice and then replied. “Nigel sized?” She repeated. “I knew no ordinary collection of...humans and the like would suffice. It took many months to find you all. I am glad you did not disappoint.”

The giant elf looked to Herneiros and continued in her loud voice. “You’re not the first people I’ve sent here,” she admitted. “But the spells holding my babies in stasis weakened and I had no choice but to make one last effort. In another few years they may have hatched inside these...cages, and starved without ever seeing the light. This facility slaughtered so many of my kind that risks had to be taken. Unlike the other times I tried, this time I trusted simply finding the strongest possible team would work instead of worrying about...planning their roles.”
